I randomly got the inspiration to do this drawing while listening to the 9 Days song, Bob Dylan. It has absolutely nothing to do with Detective Conan in any way that I can fathom.... but the one line "this oasis in my arms" just seemed so appropriate for the relationship between Shinichi/Conan and Ran. With all the insanity that goes on in this series, they are each in their own way an "oasis" for one another.I'll admit, I got really lazy with the line art for this picture. I didn't want to ink it and I really didn't want to spend hours upon hours cleaning up all the lines. So I tried to kinda of stylize the pencil marks instead, and I think it actually turned out pretty neat looking.

I really, really like this picture. It is somewhat sad because they are both missing something. Ran misses Shinichi and Conan misses being Shinichi so they find comfort where they can. The imagery is beautiful and touching.
(Is there any chance you can make the resolution 1280 x 800? Then it'd fit my desktop even better.)

Thank you so much! Those are exactly the feelings I had while drawing it.
I've actually been meaning to go back and work on this picture again, so I'll take a look at my files and save out a higher resolution one for you! I'm not on the computer with it at the moment, or I'd do it now.
