Description Ryan's father tells him directions to a secret lab he has in the mountains.
The other Troopers are at Hart's lab, it's been badly damaged by Grimlord's forces. Professor Hart isn't on the screens, JB and Kaitlin get to work trying to repair the lab.
Ryan gets his father to his lab, but mutants are closing in.
JB and Kaitlin get Professor Hart back online.
Tyler Steele's lab is destroyed, but he and Ryan escape. They're attacked by more mutants, JB and Kaitlin try to hold them off.
Ryan and his father head for Grimlord's base. Jeb leads Percy there too, for some reason.
Ryan and his father find Grimlord, who attacks them with robotic tentacles. He activates something that begins to spray poison vapor.
Ryan tries to stop Grimlord, but he disappears. Percy runs around halls in the base and gets lost, but Jeb leads him back out. Ryan and his father fight their way out of the base, and battle more of Grimlord's minions outside.
Decimator attacks and wounds Ryan's father. Decimator runs away, and Ryan goes back to his father. His robot armor sheds away, and he's human again. Suddenly, he disappears, and Grimlord appears. He teleports Tyler Steele somewhere.
Ryan is more determined than ever to find and rescue his father.

A decent conclusion to the 4-parter.
Ryan's father is lost once again, but now Ryan at least knows for sure he's out there.
This episode unfortunately has alot of the same issues the previous episodes had. Obstacles immediately overcome, continuity problems, and alot of stuff just happening for no reason.
Percy sticks out as the most pointless thing here. Does he hinder Kaitlin somehow when she goes back to the Newspaper? No, when she goes back to the lab, why does he follow her? I don't know. It doesn't seem like he'd be able to keep up with her anyway. Why does he agree to follow Jeb? Why does Jeb lead him to the entrance of Grimlord's base? Was that a coincidence? After that, Percy just gets lost in a separate part of the base from where Ryan and his father are. He never interacts with anyone, and he's never in danger. Jeb just leads him right back out. Completely pointless.
It's so bizarre to me that Percy gets such a big role, but he's superfluous.
Another odd thing, the Darkheart suit was actually recreated for VR Troopers, but it isn't used much. I'd think if they went to the trouble of making it they'd keep Tyler Steele around as an ally. He could have the Darkheart suit as a transformation. It would be awkward, since they'd only be able to splice him into the pre-existing Metal Heroes footage, but the show already does that extensively.
The placement of this episode is weird. This feels like a big event, suitable for the finale. Grimlord's base is supposedly destroyed, but I get the feeling next episode it will be back to normal along with everything else. There's still over ten episodes before season 2.
The monster that was chasing Percy last episode is completely forgotten. It never shows up, Percy doesn't bring it up, Grimlord never acknowledges it. Is it still running around out there?
JB and Kaitlin don't get a whole lot to contribute. I really think they should have joined in battle more often in this four parter. After part one they get pushed to the side and kept out of the action alot.
It looks like it's back to standard episodes for a while, which is nice. These individual episodes of a multi-parter are cool, but I'm missing the character stuff we get more of in standard episodes.
