Description
This is a very famous episode, and I'm not sure what TMNT fans think of it. Do they like it? Do they hate it? Apparently the concept clicked with someone as an idea so nice they did it twice. Right now we have a Boom comics teamup going on,but I haven't read it yet,I'm waiting for the paperback.Anyway,on to the actual episode. Venus knows who Astronema is. Maybe since she was raised by a mystical shinobi master she knows of stuff like this? The rest of the turtles assume the Rangers are just comic books. Years later Dustin would make this same assumption in Ninja Storm. Oddly,Power Rangers hasn't been seen as a comic book in-universe yet,but the Beetleborgs have.
The turtles spend most of the episode under mind-control. It's kinda like in Thunderstorm, where the Ninja Rangers were being controlled by Lothor through most of it.
When the turtles show up the Rangers know their names. How?!
It might have been a charming scene to have the turtles introduce themselves.
The turtles have different VA's than in Next Mutation. I like them, though.
D.e.c.a.'s "certified turtle-fied" voice is annoying.
A quantron actually talks in this one. He's barely comprehensible, but he's closed captioned."Power Rangers, you are fools to come here, but we have the power."
I don't know if we were supposed to be able to understand him or not.
I love the scene where Andros telekineticly cuts TJ's binds, and drops the cutters. A quantron asks what that was,TJ replies,"Oh,it's a cutting tool...it cut this." shows the quantron the cut bind and them jumps him.
The rest of the episode is a glorious bit of nerd history.
In the end credits bloopers,Cassie speaks Japanese!
