When I saw the last trailer for Prometheus it had a large reveal with Shaw being attacked by a tentacled horror, this led to the earlier Hammerpede design of a cross between the Alien and what would be later termed the trilobite...I would later work out what I could from youtube videos of the actual design and you got this drawing...
