Description
Hi guys I had to Hammer ( cheesey, I know.) this one out fast due to taking my son to school. I like to take shots at conceptualizing Monsters in how they might look like before I see the movie. I don't know why Fox is practically showing the Prometheus movie over commercials, but I got to see a clip showing a pretty massive spoiler so I sat down and drew this one out this morning. All that's left for the movie it seems is pretty much the gore and whatever twisty plot point they forgot to slap on to promotional video 19.OKAY SO POSSIBLE SPOILER.
This creature is a extrapolation taken from some stills of the second trailer where we see the Shaw character removing a alien life form via c-section in the medical lab along with various tv clips. It's probably way off base, but we'll see when I go to the movie or it leaks all over the place thanks to the film international release dates. To be honest I'm pretty excited to see this movie. See you opening night in the US.
Peace.

i know that riley change the script alien horror movie to alien gods. I like this concept maybe this should be the queen (pure seed) trilobite version super face hugger that carry the queen and protector eggs. would love to see it in action against a predator or promethian with a promethan weapon. life cycle? you should try to sell it to Fox & neca toys they keep recyling the same figures withdifferent colors. wait im sorry they did do hicks and hudson. like macfarlane toys did hick forgetting everyone wanted all the marines especially vasquez, drake, alphone etc. i think a transparent hammerpede like a jellyfish would be cooler keep the mouth but egg layer in the the chest or adomen. nice design

This is a great design very close to the trilobite only more of a xenomorph feel.

Wow, I have not seen this movie yet and I'm already disheartened. Thank you everyone for your kind words. I mean I just sketched that one out in a few minutes. Are the Alien designs in Prometheus that bad? Say it isn't so, they had Neville Page. He's the mile stone for Conceptual creature designs and I love his art.

They actually really, REALLY aren't. They have these little cobra things that look like snakey facehuggers, the space jockeys are cool as feck, the imagery is gorgeous, as usual for Scott/Geiger endeavors. One thing I will say: you will have to puzzle over lots and lots of unanswered questions, because they simply don't answer them. BUT, that's not generally a problem, because the questions are legitimately worth puzzling over. It's actually good, don't worry.

sigh
I hate when I adore fan designs more so than the actual creature.
this is well done, I'd rather have seen this in the film.

Nice design. Looks little more Cloverfield than Xenomorph but really looks like something that could have been in the film. I can only imagine the horribly freaky things that could come out of that thing's mouth.
I was kind of disappointed with the real movie critter's appearance. Mind you it was really REALLY freaky but it didn't really feel like it fit in visually with the other stuff, the ship, the carvings, the worms, the Space Jockey, the Proto Xenomorph. Neither the giant facehugger nor the mutated human really felt or looked like H.R. Giger creations to me. They looked too organic, whereas everything else and the creatures from all of the alien films look kinda techno organic. But this thing, man you paint this thing black and toss it in the film and it would fit right in.

Agreed. Had this been the proto queen in the movie, I hadn't been disappointed in the least.

SPOILER
The creature is like an oversized Facehugger with tentacles. And it's really gross too. Still, a nice imaging of the creature.

SPOILER.
So far from internetz it seems the giant squid creature is more along the lines of the Face Hugger rather than the Alien. So basically more Face Huggerish and less Alien. When I get the chance I'll have to make a new drawing.

I like it.. my fear is thet H.R Giger has not designed any creatures for the movie? if that true its a pitty because his design made that Alen film a hit, even now the design of the creature in the first film 1979 is far creepyer than any that followed it.. great sketch man
