Well my completely inaccurate creature concept for the Hammerpede/Trilobite monster for the movie Prometheus seems to be pretty popular. So I did a side profile. I'm sorta going back and forth on figuring out how it's inner mouth should work. The traditionalist in me wants to go inner jaw, while the sick SOB in me wants it's stomach to completely shoot out and encompass it's victims in a sick acidic fleshly jello blanket. I know I should've made it black like the original, but I sorta like the infantile look of it.Related content

I really would love to have seen what the Hammerpedes looked like fully grown.

And the stomach-shooting mechanism would be sweet, and fit in with Prometheus's connection to Alien as similar but different.

Seriously though, I really love your art style, and I wish some of these designs had actually made it into Prometheus, because I like them far more than what was actually in the movie.

Thank you. You can say this creature was designed due to my poor eye sight and the clarity of the video that shows Shaw pulling the Trilobite out via the c-section. Either it was a blood smear or a shadow, but I could swear I saw a mouth near the tip of the squid infant's other end while it was thrashing around in the pincers. So I thought at the time it's an Alien at the hear of it, yet squid like. Okay I can formulate on that idea. Then a month later their showing the massive reveal of the tentacle arms snatching at the Jockey. I'm thing holy shit it's really out there and went with the design you see above. Everyone seems disappointed about it being a proto-facehugger and the Deacon being so over different from the original design of the Alien. I don't know if Fox wanted to use this design for Paradise, I wouldn't say no. I'm definitely using it in my own Storyboard if I ever get off my butt and get back to it.
