Very nice job with the perspective in this piece. I really enjoy it and find it "fun". Very good color scheme and typographic skills are displayed here and I believe this is a great job well done.
The seemingly 3D effect and reflection are a very nice touch as well and I feel that completes the piece.

wow. how do you manage all this with just vectors? i've always wondered, because i can never manage to create 3D perspective quite the way you do, but then again i'm not a very good artist so it makes sense. either way, i'm always amazed man. btw, is it pure vector? if so do you think you could scale it up to 1600x1200 so i could use it as a desktop? please? lol

fireworks is somewhere in between photoshop and illustrator.
fireworks' vector engine is weaker than illustrator's, but more powerful than photoshop's. Photoshop's photo manipulation is more 'advanced' than fireworks. FW
it is mainly used for web design because web templates can be drawn, then sliced, and finally imported into dreamweaver.
i don't hate photoshop, i just think is less user-friendly than fireworks. I tried using illustrator and it's not as 'flexible' as FW.

ahhhh I see. this really sound like the program I've been looking for. I really really suck at photoshop, but its really because I'm guilty of not spending time with the program. I'm just kinda use to getting my hands dirty and making everything from scratch in illustrator. but in order to take my work to the next level, other programs definitely need to be explored.
do they have trail versions of this app? also what other programs do you favor?.

Even though I heard illustrator is more powerful than Fw (and I believe it is), I prefere Fw. Everything I do is from scratch and that's how I like it. I'm learning (I already learned) Photoshop at school in Computer Graphics course, but if the professor does not require the .psd file for a certain project, I work only in FW
Before I started with graphic design, I was all into websites. I've been using Flash for about 4 years but I only know 60% of it. Then I discovered Fireworks. I've used it ever since and it never let me down. I used Cinema4D for 3D graphics and gave them life with fw. Recently I became interested in motion graphics so I started animating in Cinema4D and i'm willing to learn AfterEffects soon.
I think Fireworks has trial versions (Adobe.com) but I do not recommend them. I have Macromedia Studio 8 Pro (bundle including Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Contribute, and FlashPaper). Fireworks CS3 is the newest version. I downloaded the Studio 8 illegally
