Interesting gallery.. Do fractiles use a lot of cycles on your puter? And how do you
control.. via a pgm. etc.?

Yes they take a lot of computer time to render. I use a program called Apophysis. It uses flames (points of light) and complex formulas to create patterns. I am getting pretty good at making the pictures but I don't really understand the math yet. Fortunately you can control the quality and reduce the time needed for pieces. I usually render the big ones overnight on a separate computer.
Thanks for looking!

Great capture. I tried to get a pic too, but my camera just isn't high enough quality. It was ridiculously cold for an eclipse night, too. Was the -5 F or C?

Awesome.. I just got back from watching it through a friend's telescope. -8 up here. Sure is a pretty thing.
My own camera could only get a shot maybe half as clear as that. Nice job. ^_^

A beautiful picture. I took a picture of it, but I have the first Kodak easy share camera. Came around 05. What I wouldn't give for a Cannon DSL-R camera. And thig or beauty as well as a thing of 700 or so dollars .. But great picture. I watched it all the way through.
