They are comical looking pair, it is like they are in sync. I really like there markings on their face. They are so skittish, considering this also a brilliant capture of nature

I was shooting with the 400 and 1.4x, and was too close on many flying
shots. Finally went down to the 400 and did some better.
always a challenge the 1st time in an area. I put on 350 miles yesterday
for this shoot.

well it paid off I'd say (the mileage) the refuge is closed to the public as it is a breeding area, this year is extremely dry don't know how many will breed or winter over.
LOL a 500mm is my standard for these, as fr flyby's I like my 80~400mm VR very good lens for that purpose. dont know if I'd swing the 500 very much ...
