Used the random Deviation button, and came up with this. This is an awesome shot! Just how close where you to the big guy?

I was about 75 to 120 ft. from where he was landing. this is shot with
the 400mm DO F4 lens. The image is cropped in some also..

Great shot but in all the photos of the eagle i've viewed, its one foot looks like its been painted ...a very unrealistic look.

Thanks, glad you like it. No retouch etc done on either of
the eagles feet, really its just the way it looks. I only sharpened ,
brightened up the image and bumped up the sat. 15%. It was
a really dull day.

Wabasha Co rd 35 about 2 miles se of plainview. A deer carcass attracted
5 eagles. Had a funeral rececption in plainview, then went out to jolenes
to drop of some stuff. Had the camera and 400 along of course.
