Melody Kingdom’s History:

General Information:
On an island southwest of Equestria lies the world's 4th largest power: the Melody Kingdom. It's made up of a large main island called Boreal and smaller archipelagos around it. Its capital is Melody City, in the center of Boreal and home to the royal castle. As its name suggests, this is the land of music, where every pony sings or plays an instrument. Legend has it that it is the princess who is heir to the throne who has the most beautiful voice, and in our case it's Princess Aurora. This is a modern kingdom, although it has retained a close link with its traditions and has some rather backward laws; for example, it is forbidden for males to be the head of the kingdom, and only princesses are allowed to reign.

History:
The origins of our kingdom lie in Equestria. A little over 2,000 years ago, when the land that was to become Equestria was populated by small cities living under the fear of the great Grogar, a young unicorn named Melody, living in the city of Woodoria (current Applewood), decided to run away with her boyfriend Storm Boreal to escape the persecution of musicians. Melody and Storm were both passionate about music, but lived at a time when music and singing were considered useless arts and banished by the father of monsters. Their desire to find a more tolerant and welcoming land led them to leave their hometown to discover new shores. After a violent storm at sea, the couple ran aground on an uninhabited island. They decided to settle there and found a new nation under the emblem of music and the name of the pony who had discovered the island: the Melody Kingdom. Ponies in search of freedom landed on the island, and the kingdom grew quite rapidly.
Centuries and queens passed and all seemed perfect until the mysterious and unexpected death of their young queen, Boreal Aurora. One dark December night, the queen and her husband were found dead at dinner in a castle on one of the country's archipelagos, where the royal family usually spent the holidays. The ponies thought it was an accident or suicide, and a new queen, the cousin of the deceased, was appointed. Her name was Classic Song. But the truth was quite different: Classic Song, with the help of the queen's personal assistant, had poisoned her cousin to take her place on the throne and allow her branch of the family to reign. A few years later, a terrible fire broke out in the same castle, destroying all archives and knowledge of previous queens and engulfing the royal vault where the sovereigns had rested.
Almost 1000 years later, it was our future queen Aurora who discovered and re-established the truth about her family's involvement in Boreal Aurora's murder. Like Diamant and Amore, Aurora has always had a special connection with her ancestor. This can be seen in the eyes of our violet unicorn: the blue color of Aurora's eyes was in fact described as "royal blue" before Boreal Aurora's murder, as all the queens in the line possessed them. This blue had completely disappeared with the Classic Song line before mysteriously reappearing with Aurora as a legacy of past glory.

Princess Aurora’s story:

Aurora is a very gentle and cheerful pony. She loves to have fun, especially when the activity involves music. She is bold and very generous. She's also an excellent, committed student who loves to help others. Despite this, she also has a fiery temper and can quickly lose her temper if the subject of conversation doesn't please her or if someone takes an interest in her past. She's very smart and honest, but can be a little stubborn and jealous.

Baby-Toddler Years:
Aurora, the second child of Melody's royal couple, had a rather difficult and lonely childhood. Because of the silly law forbidding boys to reign, the couple had to force a second child, their first being a boy, even though Queen Harmony Song didn't want a second child. Aurora was then neglected by her parents and especially rejected by her mother, who turned out to be a cold-hearted mare who resented Aurora for having to have a second child. As a result, she suffered a great deal of favoritism towards her brother, who, far from being the model little prince, was her mother's darling. Aurora was a bright, model little girl, but her selfish, perverse brother was still the favorite. Harmony Song treated Aurora as if she weren't her daughter, and only her father Night Melody deigned to show any interest in her. However, faced with his wife's strong temperament, he had to step aside and leave our unicorn to her fate. Her mother, whose duty it was to train the future queen, was very demanding of Aurora, forcing her to be perfect in all circumstances. As she grew older, and under the influence of Diamant, who was nevertheless esteemed by her mother, Aurora understood her mother's malice towards her and became independent. She began to gain self-confidence and to answer to her mother, no longer able to bear being the obedient, well-behaved little princess her mother had built her up to be. Loving her kingdom, she became a princess in her own right, no longer just in the shadow of her mother or brother. Speaking of Sonny Music, he was, to say the least, anything but regal and rather disgusting, just like his new girlfriend. His mother adored her son and therefore his girlfriend, even though they were the antithesis of her royal demands. This laxity towards her brother and his girlfriend, who was not royal either, irritated Aurora, who tried to flee the palace at the slightest opportunity.

So Aurora entered the Twilint class at the Academy. While it's true that Aura wanted to further her education, her real motivation was to leave her kingdom and family to join her best friend Diamant, which she did by joining the Crystal 7. Once at the empire, Diamant even appointed her head of the music block at the crystal fair that the young crystal unicorn had been responsible for organizing since she was 14.
A year later, now in Cadiance, Aurora took part in the fight against Nightmare Hope and became the crystal element of music. She later fought Shadow and Diamond. She also attended her brother's wedding as bridesmaid, although she wasn't the biggest fan of her new sister-in-law. At the same time, because of her distance from her mother, she was able to emancipate herself from her control and stand up to her, notably by re-establishing the truth about her mother's idol, her ancestor: Classic Song.

Two years later, Aurora fought Drago alongside her friends, graduated from the Academy and became head of the Melody Kingdom. That summer, once again in charge of music at the Crystal Fair, her friend Sunny Music, who she met when he entered the Academy and who also came from the Melody Kingdom, kissed her. Aurora, initially stunned, took time to think and, thanks to Diamant, began dating the boy. Despite her mother's remarks, Aurora had a great love affair with him.

Adult Life:
At the age of 27, Aurora married Sunny Music, who 3 years later became the father of their one and only child.
