That's because Alex Grey is the artist who drew this, and he's the same guy who does a lot of Tool's artwork.

i didnt actually go and check, i looked through the comments first to see if anyone else suggested cam, because that was going to be my suggestion. i wasnt sure though because the background doesnt seem very him. the guy definately does though, i love his sinewiness.
