PHOTOMANIPULATION.The face was a photo, I painted over it (you can only seen painting now though, no photo).
1 hour and a half.

I haven't seen anything from you in my Dev. watch for a long time. I myself have been off DA for about a year and a half. Music is still my main passion. I play alto sax and sing in a choir. I'm a much better horn player then a singer, but I get by.

oh goodness the facial expression is sooo beautiful! fantastic reproduction and the hair is wonderful!!! so delicate yet so strong in hue and it really draws the viewers eye up and down and around it, perfect combination with the peaceful face!! i love it!

Though mention that the face is based upon a two-dimensional mould of a photo, I can not see any way in which it deters from the amazing quality of the piece. To paint over a photo, to lay a mask over it, and bring the mask back to life - it is so hard, and those who have succeeded in such a daunting task are well-worth praise.
I truly enjoy the surrealism of the piece, and as I as of late have had a slight obsession with the passing of time, this picture is truly enjoyable for me to behold.
