Wheatley: He was Aperture’s resident idiot, hand-selected by Caroline herself to be her personal assistant for the express reason that he was a moron. If her efforts to sabotage the GLaDOS project were more obvious, she feared that she may be locked away in the Relaxation Vault. And so she hired the moron to do what he did best: mess everything the fuck up.Rick: From the mountaintops of the Himalayas to the coral lining the Great Barrier Reef — he’s seen it all. He was an avid backpacker and made it his life’s purpose to challenge the world to throw what it could at him. He also knew the value of a dollar, so when he went to visit a friend up in Michigan, running a few tests for sixty bucks didn’t seem so bad…
Craig: He was a key player in Aperture Science’s legendary legal team. While he did have an impressive repository of knowledge stored away in his head, courtroom litigation was where he truly shone. Some said he had a golden tongue that could charm the jury and prosecutors into believing any nonsense that he spewed from his mouth.
Neil: The enthusiasm and excitement that surrounded this young man tended to infect those around him. He was fresh out of graduate school with a doctorate in astrophysics and an eagerness to work on Aperture’s space project. His now-deceased father had always encouraged his interests in outer space, and he couldn’t be happier now that he was a part of Aperture Science.

Why Craig and Neil?
I read a fanfic where Fact and Space had the exact same names. Is there a specific reason?

The Fact Sphere mentions that, according to most advanced algorithms, the best name is Craig.
All I can think of for Neil, though, is Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon. Not sure if that's why they chose it though.

I agree with the seemingly universal vote that Fact=Craig, but this is the first I've heard of "Neil". Your backgrounds are probably....no, wait, they are better than my headcanons. Why do people always draw Wheatley and Craig to resemble each other? New headcannon; Craig was a prototype Intelligence Dampening Sphere who would slow GLaDOS down by feeding her a constant stream of useless, incorrect, trivia. The reason he's in the "corrupted core" pile is because a couple of correct "Facts" accidentally slipped in.
