It was an uninhabited world and no one would hear you crying for help.”

“And you’re one of them, you would think, privately.”
“You feared him, but you feared being utterly alone even more. It was like being made to choose between stepping on a floor full of broken glass or being unable to move at all.”

In this AU, Unicron started life under the ahem, care of an airframe named Primacron, who is Primus’ twin brother. Primus took a piece of Primacron’s power and turned it into an adorable little minicon. Primacron used him as a proverbial football. Unicron is Primacron’s accident baby he never wanted, basically.
Unicron was abandoned by Primacron after sending him through the wall with his psychic powers (inherited from Dad, thanks). That’s when he grew big.
In my mind Primacron is the epitome of emotionally abusive parents who mess with your head and make you think you’re the one who is wrong. Little things that would seem normal parenting are weaponized. Of course he did even worse things than that.
