Personality/Quirks

Aurelius (Aurel for short) is the personification of laziness. If given any option, he'd prefer to lounge about and consume drugs, especially hallucinogenic ones like acid, crack and heroin. Due to his addiction, his physical health isn't exactly at tiptop shape, and therefore he reacts slower and doesn't appear to get a decent grip on reality. On the other hand, maybe the drugs don't affect him as much as radically increase his boredom and apathy when it comes to reality.

In reality, Aurel suffers from a rare, severe case of derealization, where his vision of the world and people is lacking in emotional depth and literally color, giving the sense of being only just "sketches". Being afflicted with this his whole life, he can't help but feel detached to anything that feels fake, which apples to almost everything.

He's quite an absolute bore when it comes to social interaction, speaking in the least amount of words possible and maintaining a stoic, neutral stance. Though he's not anti-social, as he can be persuaded to talk more if he's in a good mood, often coming across as a bit carefree. Just don't praise or compliment him - he hates people bringing up his self-esteem for personal reasons. He might actually get angry if you push him too hard and force him to show some actual emotion, but like with most people, you don't want him angry.

Since Aurel's a lazy slob, he always appears in his boxing gear. No questions asked. He also smells quite bad if one gets close to him due to him not taking a lot of showers and possibly his own musk as well. The repelling effect his musk has only serves to further the distance between him and the "sketchy" world he inhabits in.

Interests/Motives

Only a few things can make Aurel unusually proactive. If there's an opportunity for him to get more hallucinogenic drugs and possibly get himself into controlled fights (preferably boxing), he will steadfastly move toward those goals, even if it means being used by other people to do so. He won't seem very focused or excited, but he will move towards those goals regardless.

The reason behind those unusual bouts of proactivity is related to his disorder. Very few, even sometimes outright harmful, scenarios such as hallucinogenic drugs and boxing can break through the barrier of derealization and even then, the effects don't last long before he loses the color and depth in his perception. However, additional "cures" may crop up the longer he stays in Hades.

He doesn't really care about being alive again, if things came to push and shove. He'd rather live in the afterlife and do whatever he always does. Then again, if he's forced to interact with a lot of people in a relatively short period, his priorities may shift in the meantime, so only time will tell.

Abilities/Skills

Surprisingly, despite his dumb-looking appearances, Aurel is fairly intelligent to the point that he can garner a lot of information on the people and world around him with just a few glances. But given his sedated outlook, he rarely capitalizes on the knowledge he gleams, preferring to let other people be manipulators and masterminds, as long as they don't get in his way.

Being a heavyweight boxer, Aurel exhibits raw physical strength, despite his addictions. He takes blows very well due to his exoskeleton, and his own punches can match the power and speed of metaphorical lightning. Also, he handles pain well, almost to the point of enjoying the agonizing sensations. If need be, he can also fly thanks to his wings, even though his flights barely last for a minute or so, and he prefers being on the ground.

Given his laziness, Aurel's movements are very inhibited. He can barely handle walking as it is, and running would be an outright miracle for him. And if he's not in mortal danger, he's most likely to just stand around and take hits if he's not really in the fighting mood. In addition, if appealed to correctly, Aurel will just do anything for more drugs and boxing, at least initially.

In spite of Aurel's melee inclinations, he does have a few tricks that feeds into his sloth-like persona, none of which he can voluntarily control, of course.

Memory Inception: activated at most every hour, physical contact with Aurel forces both parties to appear in each other's memories. The duration of this power and the memories used heavily depend on the relationship. If it's with a complete stranger, only surface/recent/unimportant memories lasting a few minutes or so are used; if it's someone Aurel is heavily familiar with, older and more personal memories taking around an hour may be involved. This power takes place instantly in real time, so this power is practically impossible to disrupt.

Since Aurel's most likely to just stand around and observe (unless he's given good reasons for being more active), this power mainly serves to give him more personality the more frequently it's used, as other parties such as his opponents may meddle around with his memories unintentionally and give him more reason to either be more attached to them or to despise them further.

Nominal Omniscience: Aurel can gain visions of any current event whenever his real name is brought up in conversations or the like. Since he has no control on when the visions come and go, he will rarely share his real name unless he feels someone may be unwilling to share information relevant to him. In general, he limits this power by going as "G.B." or Aurel if he's feeling particularly lazy.

History

Aurel hails from a city of full of anthropomorphic people, and he doesn't care to remember its name. Not much to talk about, as he lived in the urban sector, which had unusually high levels of crime and poverty.

Not much is known about him. There's rumors flying about that he ran away from an abusive family, or that he might be an orphan left to fend for himself in the streets, but it's all speculation as Aurel appeared out of nowhere a few years back and dominated the underground boxing scene and he rarely talks about himself, if at all.

Manner of Death

His cause of death is unclear, given that Aurel's own memories have grown increasingly hazy in the last few days before he died. He speculates that either he died from drug overdose or in the ring against a cruel opponent. Maybe he was murdered in his sleep. Who knows? Nobody but a few ardent fans were going to miss him.
