So, my friend's birthday was a ways back, and we threw a surprise birthday party for her. She absolutely loves goombas, so I spent hours making this cake for her.It's Devil's food cake, frosting, marshmallow ghost peeps for the teeth and eyes, and black liquorish twizzlers for the eyebrows.

Uhm, I used store bought cake mix, two boxes. I made two rectangle pans of cake, then cut pieces and mushed them together while it was still hot out of the oven so it would stick. After that, it was just coloring white frosting with food coloring to get the right color. The eyes are marshmallows cut in half and covered in white frosting, and the teeth are marshmallows, too. The eyebrows were black licorice twislers. Uhm, I think that's about it. The cake under neath was a bit piecey, especially the feet [the head was almost entirely one cake pan], but the frosting made it look like it was all one.
It was really easy to do, it just took a lot of time to make sure the shape was right and the color of the frosting was right/there was enough for the parts I needed in that color. =]

what did you use to bake it in? Several cupcakes or a sheet cake then cut it into a shape?

Two full cakepans, actually. There was a pile of cake left over. The head was one rectangle cake, put horizontally and then we just took out pieces to make the head shape. The body was another cake [but shortened], and then the shoes were actually the triangles we took off to make the head the right shape. Under the icing, the cake was a mess of pieces, but we put it together when it was warm, and we pressed them together, so it stayed pretty solid.

Very. The only thing that sucks was I wasn't there when it was cut or first eaten. I had to work. D= So they had to throw the surprise party without me. But it was fun to eat later. XD
