Description
My entry for a contest over atThere were two themes to choose from, and I decided to combine them. The first was to portray fighting game characters as their animal forms, similar to the game Blood Roar. The second theme was to portray characters in a fight scene. I chose to take Crimson Viper's name literally in this case, lol. For the second character, I thought it'd be fun to draw a walrus, and it so happened that Gouken seemed the perfect personification.

Thanks for the compliments, Fisch, means a lot! The characters are from Ryu's belt (and his SFII stage) and represent Wind, Forest, Fire and Mountain. From wiki: "The four words are based on chapter seven of Sun Tzu's Art of War, which dictates how one should conduct battle: 'as fast as the wind, as quiet as the forest, as daring as fire, and immovable as the mountain.'"

Thanks! The kanji was kind of an afterthought, but I liked it. It's the same four characters that you can see on Ryu's belt in SFIV (and also on the signs on Ryu's stage in SFII. It made sense to me that perhaps it was something he picked up from his master.
