Kathy Tippet is being played by Cindy Lennox, from the Resident Evil Outbreak series by Capcom. It's been way too long since Capcom has had Cindy and the rest of the Outbreak gang do anything. I hope Capcom doesn't mind my borrowing her (and maybe some of the other Outbreak cast members) to play parts in Autumn Spring.
That said, Kathy's not the same character as Cindy. Kathy is outgoing and assertive, as opposed to Cindy's natural shyness. She's also a waitress in a restaurant, not a waitress in a bar. Two different people, with the only common thing being the 3D character model used for both.
Kathy's character was inspired by two members of my own family, my paternal stepgrandmother and one of my elder female first cousins, both of whom worked as waitresses in their time. That cousin used to joke that she still has the pinch marks on her posterior to prove she was once a waitress.
Oh, and the last name "Tippet" is a nod to the service profession as a whole, and is a play on the phrase "tip 'em."
