These six panels constitute the most complicated XNALara XPS scenes I have put together to date -- and I'm not just talking about the number of models involved.  I mean, there's plenty of Catholic church exteriors and interiors out there, and I've got the Hitman models for the priest working outfits -- but where do you go for an A.M.E. church, an A.M.E. minister, and an A.M.E. choir?!?!  Furthermore, I couldn't use any of the models from The Walking Dead games, as they're all cel shaded (awwwww!).  I finally had to hack together what I needed from existing parts before I could even start setting this up!  Hopefully my hacked models are close enough to do the job.

As for the choice of song, some of you who lived in the American South many decades ago might remember The Oris May Show.  "When the Saints Go Marching In" was one of the songs frequently used to begin his Sunday morning broadcasts.  BTW, he's got his own article on Wikipedia, if you want to look him up.  And while I can't find a clip of the original opening to the show as I remember it from years ago, here's a clip of Rev. Oris May and his choir performing the song "Halleujah Anyhow."  It'll help you feel the mood I'm trying to establish for the A.M.E. church service that the Nelsons are attending.

The Catholic church exterior is from Onechambara.  It's at the far edge of the ported cemetary stage.  The interior is the recent port of the one from Personna 5.  The A.M.E. church exterior is my own port of the SketchUp Deconsecrated Church that I did for my old XNAVault site a few years ago, and the interior is the "dm_satan" deathmatch gaming stage from GMOD but with all of the weapons removed.  I also added the surrounding cityscape from "cs_office" to both of the exterior locales, in order to suggest that both churches are somewhere in or near Middleton, Autumn Spring's fictional city.

For the novelization of Season One of Autumn Spring, I extended the Catholic church scene with Larry so that he gets to hear and enjoy one of the male tenors in the church choir do a beautiful rendition of Schubert's "Ave Maria" as a special.  This was inspired by a scene from the 1956 movie Serenade featuring Mario Lanza, possibly the greatest Italian tenor of his time, singing the song.  It's considered the most emotional performance of "Ave Maria" captured on film even today, and I'll let you see it for yourself via a YouTube link:

I like the comparison that you did of the two different faiths.
