Mercy is one of the main characters in my published survival horror novel Escape from Metro City, released by Severed Press and available at your favorite brick-and-mortar or online bookseller in both print and audiobook form.  She was inspired by RE1.5's Linda (proto Ada) but Mercy is definitely my own original character, with her own unique personality and backstory.  Mercy in her final form was also inspired in part by one of the senior nurses at the hospital where I got my cancer treated from 2019 to 2021, although I won't give her name out of respect for her.  Anyway, the only things that my Mercy Parks shares with RE1.5's Linda is that she is in truth a biogenetic researcher (who's only masquerading as a senior nurse in Escape) and that she's of Orie-- uhhh, uhmmm, Asian stock.  Don't want the PC types to get their panties in a wad by ... oh, never mind (snort).  Mercy winds up getting rescued from the Metro City Medical Center by Escape's two main protagonists, Lisa Stanridge and Cy Rappalo, and she remains with them for most of the rest of the novel.

This is a working model I made of Mercy for concept purposes.  It's based on KitMartin's custom RE1.5 Linda/proto-Ada that he did for me back in the days of the old RE1.5 REvisited project, but with all new clothes, new hair, and a new dirtied-up face texture.  The only difference from how Mercy is depicted in the novel is that in there she's wearing a knee-length white labcoat that has various sized blood spatters on it, thanks to the Metro City Outbreak.  To find out more about her, read the book!
