Description

Ported to OBJ from the video game rip model. Based on the Imperial shuttle Tydirium as first featured in Return of the Jedi and since reused as a stock Imperial Lambda class shuttle in various forms of Star Wars franchise media. BTW dazinbane has released an even better FREE 3D model (no rights usage issues, yay!!!) based on one he got from Google's 3D Warehouse, and you can download his from the link below:

Okay, I think all of you Star Wars fans and most everybody else out there with a sci-fi bent know what this is. (big grin). This was used to great effect in multiple scenes in ROTJ and has been a staple of the Stars War franchise's Original Trilogy period of media related stuff ever since. It was also at one time one of the most sought-after of the original Kenner Star Wars toy line vehicles due to its rarity, especially in complete form (until it got reissued, but the original release still fetches fairly high prices). There was also at least two other Star Wars Imperial spacecraft derived from this design: the predecessor Alpha class gunboat from the old X-Wing and TIE Fighter video games (now also a franchise staple), and the contemporary Imperial landing craft or troop shuttle that was digitally inserted into selected scenes in the Original Trilogy movie revamps, and has also been used since in other Star Wars media. You know ... this one? The Sentinel class shuttle?

Yeah, that's a downloadable model link too. Aren't you lucky? Look for it in the Star Wars digital remaster in the scene where the stormtroopers are searching the escape pod, but you'd better be quick. It's taking off when it appears. XD
