Ported to OBJ from the 179 AI Ships Pack for Microsoft's Combat Flight Simulator 2 (CFS2) as put together by Henrik Nielsen. Preview picture posed in XNALara XPS. NO MODEL DOWNLOAD.

Exactly as the name says. This is a very nice looking low-poly cutter type sailboat that you can use for background fill in your various 3D projects and efforts. This particular type of sailboat first appeared in the 17th century and was used mainly as a pilot boat to guide larger sailing vessels into harbor. It was also used for revenue collection of taxes and import duties from inbound commercial vessels; hence the term revenue cutter. Nowadays the sailboat cutter is used mainly for recreational purposes and revenue cutters (which are just called "cutters" these days) are no longer sail driven ... and that's the rest of the story, as the late Paul Harvey would have said on his once-popular radio commentaries.

This model is designed to be seen, not manned. If you want a sailboat model you can use with 3D character models, then go get the ones from the Tomb Raider series, or the one from Left 4 Dead 2, and so on.

This is a straight port with no changes by me save to darken the textures slightly, as some of them used pure white and that renders as transparent in certain 3D modeling and posing programs.

This is not my model. All I did was port it for you. Please credit the 179 AI Ships Pack for CFS2 (courtesy of Henrik Nielsen) as the source if you use this in your own 3D projects. You do not have to credit me for my OBJ port.
