Description

Ported to OBJ from the fan created model included with the Stargate Command pack for the Starfleet Command (SFC) series of video games.  Based on the design as first seen in the Stargate SG-1 (SG1) television series episode "Into the Fire."

This is one of the oldest Goa'uld small combat craft designs of which examples are still in existence.  It has not been used by the Goa'uld themselves in about a century, with only a scattered few survivors tucked away by those who have them and only brought out at great need both due to their age and their current rarity.  These are very small two-man predecessors to the current Death Glider design and are similar in many ways save for their unique shape.  Needle Threaders are designed to fly through standard stargates, which is why they are so small and shaped the way they are.  It is surmised that they eventually fell out of use once the predecessor to the modern Death Glider was introduced, which had its own miniaturized hyperspace jump system and thus did not need and was not limited to the stargate system for FTL interstellar travel.

One of these turned up during the course of the SG1 television series and was used to great effect, although it was made clear that it was old and rare.  Because of that, and if you're playing by SG1 canon (a-hem), the only way other Needle Threaders might turn up (in your own Stargate related projects) is under similar circumstances; namely, if there are some still in the keeping of the older Goa'uld factions, or you find one or more hidden away at some ancient Goa'uld site.  Remember, while these are as powerful as Death Gliders they have no FTL capability and must use the stargate network for FTL travel.  These will just barely fit inside a standard stargate, so any potential Needle Threader pilots have to be extremely good or they'll wreck both their craft and any stargate they might attempt to fly into for FTL travel.

This is a straight port with no changes by me.
