Description
Although it was raining most of the day, the United for Peace and Justice Anti-war rally at Lake Eola in Orlando, Florida, had a really good turnout. There were many speakers at the event, maybe too many, but the testimony given by Iraqi war veteran Clifton Hicks made it all worth it, as his accounts of what happened during his deployment in Iraq moved many to tears.As the march started, the skies opened up and a deluge of rain came down. The marchers moved through the streets undeterred, and at about a mile into the march, came upon a small group of pro-war protesters that call themselves the Gathering of Eagles. These self proclaimed βreal Americansβ yelled hateful phrases and gave the old middle finger salute to everyone as they walked by. This conflict was pretty much over before it started, because the ratio of anti-war protesters to pro-war protesters was so great.

Man, that guy looks so much like my dad it's unreal. He's definitely got the "I'll show you what" look to him. It's a great portrait, though, it works well.

holy wow... these photos are intense. he is so scared. you can see it in his eyes. i think he needs to be the hater because he fears being hurt--physically or emotionally... so he has put up a wall of ignorance and hate. my heart aches looking into his eyes and i wonder what he would have been like if he didn't get brainwashed by the military into thinking that the Viet Cong were animals to be hunted. oh god, i hate war and what it does to people... it has turned this man into a hate machine, giving the finger to someone who wants peace. i don't think a photo has ever brought up so many churning emotions so quickly for me before. GREAT WORK of art, history, anthropology, psychiatry... whoa... i better stop before i write a thesis.

Real Americans! Ha!
That's the trouble with people who are willing to kill you for their beliefs;
they aren't smart enough to think otherwise.

It has been my style for a while now... I am planning on going very wide in the near future... I will be carrying two cameras, one with the 70-200 for close up stuff and the new Nikon 14-24 for ultra wide... I think these extremes will work well for me

"Viet Cong Hunting Club". oh the sweet, sweet ignorance.
I suppose this would be a pro-war, redneck piece of shit at its best? >_<
wow. haha, I think we need to do some weeding out of the population and loose those whose intelligence level is null and void, yes?
I see a lot less war that way at least. hahaha.
