Description Father John Joseph Reid and Father Lawrence Turner are Catholic priest that fell in love with each other and married in Massachusetts. They now preside over the New Devine Mercy Catholic Communities. The opening statement of their website is listed below.

More than 1,000 people attended a rally at Fort Lauderdale City Hall protesting the passage of Amendment 2 in Florida and Proposition 8 in California, which discriminates against LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender/transsexual ) people in The United States of America.

The protests were part of the β€œJoin the Impact” [link] campaign to have a synchronized reaction of outrage across the country because of the passage of laws in Arizona, California and Florida defining marriage as an institution between a man and a woman only.

Proposition 8 in California and Amendment 2 in Florida have become a symbol of the struggle for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights. It is also argued the laws will restrict rights to heterosexuals who are domestic partners and not married.

There is no word great enough to describe this. Not only is it a turn in what people may think but it also will show others that just because something is in 'black and white' doesn't mean it's correct. as people, we have a choice of love and how ever you carry out with, you can't be doing something wrong by following your heart. everyone has equal rights and this really restates that fact and puts it in bold print.
Being gay is not an illness or something, it's your life. I don't care what some people may say but I can proudly state I'm Catholic and gay. Personally, I know it's not a sin. And if it is, I don't mind being called a sinner for following what I believe.

its true that God loves them, but that doesnt mean they're in imitation of Christ. i dont want to sound mean, and i really disapprove of the attitudes of hateful Christians. God loves us all, sinful or not. he says clearly that its wrong to be gay, but he also said clearly that its wrong to cheat and steal...but we still do it dont we? even though He doesnt approve of they're actions, he still loves them and wants them to realize that whils he may love them, it doesnt mean they have accepted him as savior yet.

the main point is, God loves you, whether your a thief, a murderer, or gay. but just because he loves you, doesnt mean hes saved you...yet... but its so simple...all you have to do is ask him

i dont want to try to slam this in your face like some people try to do, you cant force someone to be saved, you can only show them whats right, and then let them choose right or wrong. you can never make someone choose God, that wouldn't be from their heart.

The true quote is

There was not even a word for homosexuality when the bible was written.

And you say "he says clearly that its wrong to be gay, but he also said clearly that its wrong to cheat and steal." The one man who claimed to have heard from God wrote these statements in a book thousands of years ago. How can you state so matter-of-factly who God loves, or what he does, or what his favorite ice cream flavor is? You know none of it. If he really does exist, there is still no way for you to really know his will.

And also, it wasnt just one man who heard these truths from God, it was many. I'm not at all trying to be rude, but God clearly said that it was wrong before the New Testament was even written, in Sodom and Gomorrah. Those were the two biggest homosexual cities in the world, and they burned to the ground. i would never resort to such violence, because God can do whatever He wants, I'm just a human. it may be noted that the bible is the word of god, but it was penned by the hand of man...it's therefore prone to the imperfections that all men are affected by. So despite whether God dicated the books word for word or not, men were able to place whatsoever they wished into the pages of the holy books. But then, I suppose the idea of Dogmatic law would've covered for them, making their words infallible. So, as much as God may have created us in his own image, so have we altered his image to more reflect our own...interesting.

You can't really use called it the infallible holy word of God for many of men/women claim to hold the word of god or for that matter gods/goddess most of which are older then the christen God and unbiasedly I can't call one or the other the rightful god/goddess nor their many version of him/her.

so I just pick the one I felt most comfortable with name wise.then I look for law of things in something that can't be blurred by the hands of man by looking at history, life, and most of all the human psyche and found that good and evil don't truly exist, That thing are as they are, NOT was we want them to be, for evil can bring Blessing, and goods can bring curses. Understanding this I base my morals on what keeps us sane and life livable XD.

it is true, most believe that their religion is the only true one. but through my God, i have found peace and fulfillment in life, fulfillment unlike any other thing today.
i dont think you should just pick what makes you comfortable in life, not trying to be rude but, not many people got to be successful by just sitting in a comfortable chair and waiting for success to call them by name. now im not at all trying to imply that you, or anyone else for that matter will be unsuccessful simply because you dont believe the same as me. its not that at all
but simply stating that one religion is older than the other, doesnt make one more true than the other. if we still had the same beliefs as Medieval people, or still stuck leeches on people because of bad blood, where would we be? just because my belief isnt the oldest, doesnt make it untrue.
and saying that good and evil simply done exist is like putting up a fasad of inability to blame oneself up. good and evil most assuredly exist and yes sometimes evil does come from good and vice versa. but simply seeing that fact and drawing the conclusion that good and evil must not exist is not exactly what i would call a correct assumption.

First I did not say older is better just not everything is not as they seem.

case number one Jack the ripper killed 5 women in the most grusome of matter but his publicity brought attention to the poor neighborhoods of London, which rally people to take action saving millions.

case number two. The two main factors that bring Europe out of the dark ages is stolen riches and technology from the crusades, and the black plague that crates a middle class for what left of the works have to be paid higher in order the landlords to keep them.

case number three. Hitler was not a man of evil just a man trying to make a better more perfect world regardless how mad the means are.

Cause number four. A doctor who means well test a new drug on people but only ends up killing them.

Through all these thing a line can't simply be drawn no matter how you dice it, and to say your word is the right word no matter what other say would lead you to a path so many kills,dictators, and rapist took, which is why I don't believe in a pure good and evil but everything is but a mixer of the two sides what we call humantiy. So I always try to keep an open mind and always find reasons to test my Ideas and view, which is why I treat everything I view as nothing but a theory.

ok, well i was simply wondering, if good and evil dont exist, then why do people get sent to jail? if good and evil simply didnt exist, that would be injustice, which is evil, which therefore couldn't exist, but that draws me back to my original question. when i spoke about medieval times, i was simply stating that our methods of life have modernized since the days of castles and damsels in distress, now we have nuclear power plants and hostages of war, but that's a different topic.
your scenarios are arguable, however i wont take the time, your belief is [im guessing] the type of belief in which there is no absolute. life goes on and we should be tolerable of it all. but my belief is that God is our absolute, and that i have standards, that make me intolerable of certain things. i however try not to be hateful, because who am i to be hateful? if God is love and He is supreme what right do i have to be hateful?...none

All I'm really asking is to look at things with a new set of eyes as you can as, Just work you way from the basic and if you reach the same conclusions that is find by me, but if you can't for you own reason well I may not agree with it but its your right .

The composition of this is perfect - the pose of the Priest in the front - the placement of the flag - everything about this from facial expression to lack of color on EVERY part but the flag...
