Very good job on this, especially the faceless Priest in the upper right. Great picture

You should be ashamed for what you're saying. "I don't want my child to think it's ok." You want to know what is not ok ? Homophobia ! Because of it, innocent people die.
You don't understand that gay people can love. They just want you to accept it, all they want is to live in peace.
So fuck you, your god and your fucking religion. You disgust me. Your not normal.

?? I think you got it backwards. This picture is AGAINST homophobia. Not FOR it...

I'm not really sure if you get the point of this piece? I'm actually gay, and this image was a way of showing the ridiculous reasons that people are homophobic because they are too arrogant or ignorant. Soooo...if you're assuming that I believe all of these things, you're severely wrong. Please redirect your anger somewhere else.

I'm Christian, but frankly, I'm all for gays! God doesn't make mistakes, so I believe that they are all here on purpose.. Perhaps to show others that love has the power to overrule the physical body. What you look like or your physical parts don't matter... God looks at the heart..we definitely should too. We are all considered equal; that's an important fact from the Bible. I'm praying for all of you...stay strong! Don't change! You are NOT evil!

Thanks. I have a very religious family, but they are very accepting and all of this is really a non-issue for me. I'm very loved and accepted, but appreciate your kind words...This piece was just something for a class project centered around a theme.

All this stuff gay people could say about homophobes too...

They could, and probably do. Guess that's just the way we all are built to be. Hope it can change eventually.

"I hate it when they flaunt their sexuality"
*smooches girlfriend deeply*
...sure. And OF COURSE they flaunt it! They get teased and abused, yelled at and KILLED FOR IT, why SHOULDN'T they flaunt it?!

I wasn't really saying that many homosexuals flaunt their sexuality..I think far fewer do than heterosexuals...which is why I think so many people who are homophobic are really hypocritical because they don't think twice about making out in public since, to them, it's more natural.

I grew up in Upstate NY. Gays got their arses kicked by farmers' sons if they "came out". I was openly sympathetic to gays before it was chic (if it ever was) and had several friends that shared their stories with me because they trusted me not to judge them and not to tell. Gayness is just another aspect of God's universe. It can actually be quite an effective strategy in regards to natural selection depending upon how it is applied.
I myself have - when first experimenting with sex and alcohol (I no longer drink at all) - tried sex with a male, but just found it ... disquieting at that age and never had the desire to try again. There is no evil in loving one-another, darn-it-all!
I live in CA now because of the pre-judging I found in the east.

I grew up in a tiny town in Missouri. Things weren't much better. I never heard of anyone getting physically harmed, but there was definitely a lot of emotional trauma to coming out. I actually decided at one point that I just never would. Thought that my family and friends would be happier if I just never had a relationship rather than knowing the truth about me...which was a huge decision for a 7th grader to make. I've always just been the type to put everyone else's happiness before my own.
I got over that simply for the fact that no one can go so long being unhappy before they have to do something about it. I'm so glad the weight is finally off my shoulders. I moved to L.A. because I love the entertainment industry and want to be a part of it. I ultimately want to get into the videogame industry, but wouldn't be opposed to Film or Television.

You have some wonderful work. Opportunity may just come to you. I hope so.
One thing that I do like about many gay men is that they seem to be "gentle men".

Truly. Plus I have 4 sisters that taught me how to be a gentleman. Between them and my parents, I'd say I was raised well.

My father - although not gay - took honor (not pride) in being a gentleman. He died when I was 8 and I have tried to teach my son the same; to look other men in the eye and never to get caught (unless a necessary part of the courtship) looking at a woman's arse or talking about it. Respect and respectful appreciation.

Yes. Too few people these days take enough pride in how they raise their children, and it shows.

Well the subject is pretty close to my heart. Thank you. I just made up a list of all the words I think of, for better or worse, when I think of Homophobia. But basically I think people are just plain idiots. Heh.
