Haha, not even polos work, he goes in the box, grabs hay/food treat then backs out and will nsap the leadrope/breaching strap, break the partition or kick the back of the box if we try to stop him, you have to fling him in and slam the back up on his bum and force it shut! Little douche -.- Not scared of the trailer at all, just knows he is stronger than us!

With Ned it is actual fear, since he was left alone and he got scared and lept out, down the ramp and skinned his back...it got really nasty and infected for ages D: but he's doing well so far! The real test will be Sunday

Ooh good luck! Mine get boxed once/twice a month for shows. I'll give you a good tip. My welsh D was severly abused as a youngster and was terrified to be boxed. For a week I walked her so she had two feet on the ramp and gave her treats, then asked her to back off (she is on a lunge line) asked her to walk on, and off, then walked hr sideways on and off the ramp from one side to the other, for two days she reared and reared and freaked and panicked and sweated. Soon she started idly walking on and off the ramp. I then would take her away a bit and lunge her gently next to the box, then lunge her on to the ramp, ask her to stand, then asked her to back off and treated. Then I'd walk her sideways onto the ramp and stop her so all four feet were on it and treat. Then take away, lunge a little and repeat. Then gently increase how close to the trailer she gets on the ramp, back off lunge and repeat. Get the partition opened if it is a back load trailer or box. If not just ignore that bit. Feed with his head inside the box, then two front feet, never get all 4 feet inside. Then after a week or so, ask for all feet inside, then back off, repeat, lunge onto the ramp whilst you stand away from the box, repeat, until finally the horse will go into the box thinking it is a game

He's mostly ok with going in trailers now, we've shut the doors on him and things, it's just the driving that he might find a problem with. Apparently he was fine travelling before, it was coming out where he had the issue and he's been perfectly with that ^^ I'd love to get into horse training, since (with help from my wonderful friend Jade) we worked wondered with Ned.
I was annoyed that my other "friend" decided to come to the yard one day. We had nearly got him going in and out perfectly and we even shut the doors. But on that day he was being a bit of a butt and just stopped outside the ramp and refused to move (My fault, I forgot his polos) and my friend literally snatched the lead rope from me and took him on (She had food)
We tried to shut the front ramp and he freaked out and she started screaming! I was not happy, since she's always saying what a good horse-person she is...annoying!
Apparently he's been good after that though. Another of his problems is he can't go anywhere alone and if I try he rears and throws the biggest strop EVER! It's not so much of a problem because he lives at a hacking yard and no one apart from me likes him and I always ride with others anyway (And if I don't, I can always ride my other favourite, Archie)
Still, I can go and see him whenever I like, so I have plenty of time to work with him ^^

Aww bless him, poor thing, i hate people like that, think they now it all then it goes wrong and its one of those OMG THE HORSE IS GONNA KILL ME ITS YOUR FAULT kinda people -.- Hope it all goes well for you
