**Update** I did some color edits to him, got rid of the red and made it a little darker and less saturated, I wanted to bring his color scheme closer to the original colors he had in 94'.Heidern from the King of Fighters series.
Heidern made his debut in the original KOF 94' (one of my favorites of the series) and he was easily one of the coolest new characters a fighting game can get. Not only was he deadly, but he was really fast. It was really cool to see a military type fighter who was the opposite of guile and be more of an offensive, quick character type.
When doing the REDUX I wanted to create sort of a battlefield ready outfit, something practical, but still keeping with someone who held a high rank in the field. So I tried to meld a bit of the old Heidern design with a bit of M. Bison (Dictator) Warlord style to him. Someone to be feared when faced on the frontlines of a war.

I remember the original King of Fighters 94. I know some people may have thought Heidern was cheap in that game, but let's get real, Ralf and Clark SUCKED in that game, especially in AI. If you have a character with long ranged attacks like Chang or Lucky, they don't stand a chance. Heidern's usefulness only made up for his comrades useLESSness.

This is kickass. Heidern is badass with that Redux look all while it reminds me of Dictator but unlike Dictator, Heidern has his own techniques for sending his foes to hell. The only complaint for Heidern is that he only appeared in a few entries of KOF such as 94, 95, 98, 2001, 98UM and 2002 Unlimited Match. Either way, his music is awesome especially In Spite of One's Age... beautiful.

I agree. My only complain regarding KOF '02 UM is the fact that K9999 has been replaced with Nameless. I have no idea why but I think its due to a dispute that they can't use K9999 anymore. A shame.

Well, I am sure the fact that he is almost a dead ringer for Tetsuo from Akira was a big reason.

I thought that Heidern first appeared in one of the Ikari Warriors for NES (telling you what's your mission, you know)...
Anyway, this looks cool!

No. Ralf Jones and Clark Steel appeared in Ikari Warriors and that sort of gave them a backstory all leading up to KOF.

This is awesome. I like the fact that you even tell the audience what triggered the design choices and why you felt it would work.
Hiedern is an awesome character with a pretty real-world but badass design that makes him stand out in the world of fighting game characters. You did him some serious justice.

I like it! Really stays true to who Heidern is. But I always hate fighting Heidern in KoF98. (he's cheap)
