Indeed! I've read thousands of tuts for golden texts, textures etc. but was never pleased with the outcome. This is perfect!!!
Well done! Now I have 2 favourite wallpapers! LOL

LOL I never thought to look for a tut on it....I was just winging it.
I was wondering about these Clubs and community's I keep seeing here...this may sound stupid..I kinda understand the idea behind them but how does someone go about becoming part of one?

To be honest with you I like browsing tutorial sites! I find tips, ideas and ways to do things in Photoshop.
See some of my favourite ones bellow...

Pixel2Life [link]
Webdesign.TemplateMonster [link]
TutorialWiz [link]
Heathrowe [link]
Well, it's not necessary for you to join forums and communities (some of the aforementioned sites provide this opportunity). You may just visit them from time to time for new tuts. Personally, I believe that joining the site forums you prefer may offer a selection of tuts entries and customised view, the opportunity to exchange ideas and receive/offer feedback and/or help in design matters.
In reference to the links above, joining them provides the following benefits and can be done as described in each case:

I have been to a few of these sites in search of something new to learn as I'm self taught in everything I do with photoshop...Just never even looked to see if joining one of these sites was an option. Thats very neat..I will for sure look farther into it. Thank you for the links as well....I have 2 of those bookmarked but the others I didn't. Lord knows I need all the help I can get ....I'm a fast learner but its always nice to have someone walk you through it the first time.
Thank you so much again for your time!

Glad you found them useful!
Should you need more info/help just drop a message!
I'm a self-taught in photoshop as well-all I know about it are either from Photoshop CD/site tutorials or such tutorial sites.
Lately, I'm looking for opportunities to get some theoritical background but time and money may be an issue there! We'll see about that!
Nice talking to you!

Nice job with the ribbons. Though you may want to try and combination of inner/outer glows instead of a 3 pixel stroke...just a suggestion

Yes I seen that too....after I uploaded it...Ill see if I saved that as a .psd file ..maybe I can fix that. Will for sure not use that next time..who the hell wants jagged edged ribbons O_o lol thanks bud.

Thank you...needed the edges of the ribbons to be a bit more smooth, I used a stroke on it and should have used a glow..But other then that it came out pretty good for my first attempt at making gold
