Every single gradient I have ever made for my work are in this handy dandy little zip. For free!!pay attention now...im only going to do this once....
How to install gradients
unzip the gdr files.
Open c/program files/adobe/photoshop(whatever version you have)/presets/gradients folder.
simply move the gdr files into this folder then close it.
open your photoshop.
click on the gradients tool in the tool box.
at the top of photoshop you will see a tool bar that runs horizontal with a gradient in it. click the small down arrow and then click the small right arrow for the fly out menu.
In that menu you have several options. click on LOAD GRADIENTS! then simply select one the gradients you just added to that folder.
BAM! DONE! THATS IT!

How do you actually make Photoshop gradient files? I've been trying to make my own for the longest, but can't figure out how to save them in gdr files.

hey its pretty easy...click on the gradient tool and then youll see the gradient on the top menu....click that gradient and your gradient editor will open. once you have your gradient the way you want it, click on NEW on the right side of the editor...this will place the gradient in the box with all the other gradients. Now just simply click on SAVE on the right side and that will actually save the gdr file. Now that will save your gradient along with whatever other gradients are in that box....if you dont want all those other gradients in with yours just right click the gradient and select delete....that doenst actually delete the gradient from your PC it just deletes it from the box. Delete all the other gradients...make a bunch of new ones and then click save, name it whatever and then youll have your own set.
