Your bases are always lovely, the lines are so clean and I find inspiration comes more easily.

Used one of these a little while ago...didn't really think to show you, since I don't often show my work to the basemakers due to shyness...
But I've been a fan of your bases since I found them way back when I first started dolling, and since I actually like what I made...I figured I'd show you. |D;;
There's actually two versions of this particular doll...blood and no blood.

Thanks for making such fantastic bases. ;3;

The line art can't be changed at all on these?
Just being certain~

If I use one of these bases, may I genderbend it? Remove sign of breasts, et cetera? Please?

Oops, I read some of your replies below. No, I'm really not changing any lines, just covering the chest and not following the breasts, other than that it is entirely your base.

This is rather late but I wanted to thank you for letting me see the dolls you created with my bases- it's always fun for me to see what people dream up with them!
Just a note, if you use any more bases in the future, could you please link my name back to my account instead of just writing my username? I'd appreciate it!
Thanks again!

I'm so sorry for the late reply; I've been offline for several weeks...
As for your question, you are welcome to use any of my bases (as few or as many as you like) as long as my editing rules are followed (i.e. no frankendolling, even between other bases I've created) and I'm given base-credit AND a working link to my gallery in the artist's comments of the doll you create with the base.
And, although it's not required, I always love to see what an artist creates with my bases.
Thank you for asking for clarification- I appreciate it! And, again, sorry for the long wait! ^^'

This response is terribly late but I wanted to thank you for letting me know about your dolls on my bases- I love to see what people create with them!
Just a note in case you decide to use any more of my bases in the future, please make sure to link back to my account as it is one of the main rules for base useage.
Thanks again! ^_^

just making sure, you said no gender bending right? I don't want to do something you wouldn't like on your base >>

Thank you for asking for clarification before making edits to the base- I so appreciate that!
As for gender-bending, my main rule is that I don't want any lines of the base altered. I responded to a similar question as follows:
"If it's a clothed character and you're simply hiding the curve of the chest by putting clothes over it, I have no problem with that. But if it's a bare-chested guy you're planning to draw and want to actually change the body lines to do so, I don't grant permission because it seems like a large, potentially pose-changing edit in my eyes."
Basically, if you have to actually alter the base itself to make the change, then no. If you can hide the base body by overlaying it with clothing, yes.
I know I'm rather neurotic with my rules- sorry! ^^'
But thank you again for being so courteous!

I do have a question,
Editing for genderbending, just removing the chest, would that be alright with you?
Or would you rather not have that?

dilli-dalli In reply to PorcelainMorge [2010-08-15 20:49:23 +0000 UTC]
Sorry for the late reply! ^^'
This answer will probably sound silly but I'm kind of neurotic about my lineart...
If it's a clothed character and you're simply hiding the curve of the chest by putting clothes over it, I have no problem with that. But if it's a bare-chested guy you're planning to draw and want to actually change the body lines to do so, I usually don't grant permission because it seems like a large, potentially pose-changing edit in my eyes.
I hope that doesn't interfere with your pixeling plans, too much- I know I'm annoying when it comes to base rules, sorry!
But I do appreciate that you asked about it first- thank you!

No I understand completely.
I'll find a way to work around it. c: I want to respect you, the base artist first, otherwise I wouldn't ask. ^^-
Thank you for replying though as well.
