Description Here's part two of my Zelda Cast. I have to say that this wasn't one of my easiest works.

Malon: Okay, there were quite a few choices I had to go through. There was a time when all I knew in terms of Voice Actors was 4Kids and Canadian voice actors (Scott McNeil and David Kaye as examples), but as I explored other VA groups and actors, I expanded my Zelda Cast-verse further. And, for Malon, I decided on Kate. Yes, Sakura has acquired hate from fans, but I looked into other works Kate has done and she's really not bad a choice in my opinion.

Talon: Okay, even way back when, Mike has been the ideal choice of Talon for me. Maybe it's his comical voice that so fits Talon's appearance and character, but I rather like it because of that. And I'm perfectly aware that he's a 4Kids guy, but take in mind that he's remained Eggman even after the Sonic cast changed. So, there's still a strong possibility here.

Ingo: I originally had someone else for this role, but I had to take that move back. One guy pointed out that the original character didn't quite get to that point. In the end, I found ol' Colin Murdock for this role and, the more I think about it, the more I think that I should have come to this conclusion a lot sooner.

Deku Tree: This is a huge, talking tree. So, I needed an actor with a big, booming voice. The answer came in Dissidia with Peter Beckman. His Golbez voice was deep and BIG, so it became an ideal template for this character. Also kinda makes sense because Golbez, technically, isn't a bad guy.

Navi: THIS was a tough one for me because, let's face it, Navi is one of the most detested Zelda characters. I had to find a way to make it more tolerable and Colleen opened a possibility. If she made Konohamaru sound more girly and less obnoxious, it really wouldn't be that bad.

Saria: Like with Talon, this VA stuck with me for a simple reason. No other actresses I know of could do it. Lisa Ortiz just possesses this girlish and childlike perk that I always envisioned Saria having. And, yes, I have tried to envision other actresses but they just didn't seem right to me.

Mido: Okay, we all saw this coming. The bully of Kokiri Forest needed a snide, confident, and boasting voice. And who better to do that than Vic Mignogna himself? I decided this part after his performance in the Kakashi chronicles and Vic did a very good job as Obito.

Deku Tree Sprout: The sprout arrives after you finish the Forest Temple and returns the Kokiri Forest to normal. And he's not towering and booming like the Deku Tree. He's small and looks kind of silly. As such, I needed a silly voice and Tom Kenny came to mind. Take in mind that he HAS been in anime before like Rave Master.

If it was an live action Sonic, John Goodman would play Eggman.

I always kind of pictured the Deku Tree as having Peter Cullen's Optimus Prime voice, I know it doesn't fit but that's how I always pictured it.

I definitely agree with Navi, Saria, Malon, and Mido. Tom Kenny can do pretty much any role he's asked to, so I agree with him too.

Seriously I can actually hear these people in these roles.

Yea, you've got bi-coastal in mind. You've probably watched Slayers (granted, the first three Crispin Freeman lived in NY for, but I digress).

Pretty much the only one I complain about is Vic Mignogna as Ingo. Don't let my opinion change it for ya, but I just don't see him playing that small (or weird) a role.

And I know Tom Kenny has been in a few anime series.

Oh, and lastly, Konohamaru's annoying, Navi's annoying. It fits. XD

I dunno, I've seen Vic do some pretty strange roles (ala BehindtheVoiceActors) and some relatively-small ones, too.

Besides, one guy said that, if a show has more characters and don't have as much development, you can have great actors to portray them. That way, even the smaller performances can get across real well. And, considering this is Vic Mignogna we're talking about, it could work well. Y'know what I mean?

When I first saw Malon's young design, I immediately thought of Tia from Zatch Bell!. I could see it working with Young Malon, but then I'm left with a terribly inappropriate voice for her sexy older self. I'm not really familiar with a great lot of female English VAs, it's mostly just regulars from Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network (Cree Summer, Grey DeLisle, Tara Strong (Especially Tara Strong.)), Wendee Lee and Stephenie Sheh. Although I don't doubt Kate Higgins could work.

Glad to see some agreement. I speak as an aspiring voice actor and the thing that helps, both in voice templates and who's-who, most is study and a visit to one of two sites:

1. Voicechasers
2. Behind The Voice Actors

Give 'em a check out. You will NOT regret it.

Thank you. I had to think this cast out very, VERY carefully. I never get tired of people telling me I've done a good job.
