EDIT: A big THANKS to everyone who's been kind enough to comment. After taking under consideration all the suggestions, this is how the picture is currently looking. The shadows were adjusted and some elements are brighter than before (including the eyes). I've also taken away the almond branch, since it's most definately making an appearance in a following picture. So, until further tampering this is how it will be appearing in the book.Normally, I would be using good ol' ecolines for this project, but I've decided to go digital instead. This is the first time I'm officially working straight from pencil to photoshop and it hasn't been an easy transition. Don't be shy, suggestions are still welcome despite the EDIT

Oh wow. I love this! The colors are so amazing, and the way you made the shadows and everything look makes it look real! I love her expression on her face that little swallow is just so pretty!

I love it. The style of the girl is quite clean and pretty, and having the real bird next to the painted one is lovely. On a minor note, you did the rock she's sitting on very realistically, and not just a flat surface. Thinking of something critical to say, but I can't think of anything.

This is really good, she looks like someone you could use as a character for a movie.

whatever she's waiting for, she looks kind of scared or uncertain... it strikes me as Little Red Riding Hood waiting for her mom to finish packing the basket of goodies so she can go out into the scary forest.. I really like it.
