Description
This is a picture I made for a story idea of mine, based on a reinterpretation of King Kong.
This is a picture of Anne Darrow (based on Ann Darrow from the 1993 movie) who in this story is a teenager when the story takes place, which is set in the 21st century.
Anne was 8 years old when her parents boat was shipwrecked on Skull Island, an island hidden in the South Pacific, surrounded by a near perpetual storm front. When the island's predators killed her parents, she was protected and adopted by Kong, who took her in as an adopted daughter, and raised her for 8 years until more humans arrived on Skull Island.

Anne, being raised on Skull Island, is an athletic, strong woman who knows her way across the canopy of Skull Island. She made makeshift outfit out of skins from dead deer she hunted off of the island. While she can't fight the island's larger predators, she can hold her own against most of the island's smaller predators of the island. She is smart and resourceful, and leaned to build things all on her own. Despite being on her own for 8 years, she still remembers how to speak English when she meets up with other humans.
