Description
For ~KimmenWolf , who wanted me to tell her how to do it. And I think some people might find it helpful.Paint rawks.
x3 Yah.
Also, this doesn't work on ALL pictures. If your picture has both black and white in it it might get weird. But it works on MOST picture, and that's a great thing, right?
I also wanted to say CREDIT GOES TO ORIGINAL PICTURE. And that should you do too. If it isn't your own scanned one or something. You know... it's evil not to credit. :c
regarding scanned pictures, I think this trick is the most handy if you've got a real life sketch but don't own a scanner - and you can photo the sketch and this way get a lineart to work with (:

This is pretty much encouraging theft from photographs. I would recommend only using this technique on pictures you yourself have drawn, or at least give credit to the original photographer and where you found the image.

Dinaria In reply to silver303 [2007-08-18 10:49:11 +0000 UTC]
Yes, of course. I pretty much count on people to think of that themselves, while I usually make clear that the original picture isn't mine.
I like your avatar, by the way. :3

Hey hey! This fox here had both black and white in it - how come it didn't funk up?
I knew that trick, but I never thought to use it like that. (: How creative you are.
π: 0 β©: 1
Dinaria In reply to DazeWolf [2007-08-15 09:08:25 +0000 UTC]
Because! The white wasn't pure white. Anything that's even one percentage NOT white becomes black when you remove the colours. I learnt that the painful way |D
Yes, I knew you did. ^^ It was when you said it I developed the pixel-over way!

i like this tutorial, but i didnt know that i can do that type of thing....all my paint drawings were made from scratch with a picture for reference
π: 0 β©: 1
Dinaria In reply to clayscence [2007-08-14 17:31:39 +0000 UTC]
I usually do my stuff from scratch too, but sometimes it's way more fun to borrow an outline. (:
I learnt this pretty recently, too.
Paint has a lot of hidden skills ;D
