*edit: changed blade on fire sword, thanks for the feedback guys!my friend is trying to get me a job at the studio she works at but i need to learn flash, aaaaand before i can learn flash i need to learn how to draw flash-like things haha!
these are some sword status concepts i came up with. trying to get that simple/colourful look involved with flash games but don't know if i'm there yet... let me know what you think.

oh and if your wondering, i am still doing character concepts as well as other various game art for BUSHIDO [link] but the majority of the game is done so i am part-time now. check it out! such a cool game to work on T_T

Adobe will always be Adobe so if you're used to Photoshop and it's various functions, it will probably not be too hard to learn flash (programming excluded). However, this sure do look like something made in flash 
Gradients in flash are... different, and a bit more blunt to deal with.
I'm looking forward to seeing more things like this, it's a nice change of style from the (overly awesome) conceptual style you usually go for

Well your drawing looks realyy awesome, but the concept of swords is simple. Between those status blade only changed a little, maybe if blade would change it shape when the status change it would look much better. But still thsi si hwo you wanted it to look, and i can't say that line is awful

the fire looks more like molten plasma to me, or some sort of leaky lightsaber type deal
maybe if you gave more definition to the sword in the fire it'd look better, like evidence that the fire is flowing over it

looks perfect, though i might try changing color schemes, like adding more red and golds to the actual sword part of the fire sword, but that's just my opinion

these are cool ^^ i think they match the flash style really well! i think if the swords were animated (particularly the fire/slime swords) it would be definitive of their flash-iness.
but anyway, good luck getting the job! i'm sure you'll do fine! ^^

While it does look good, I can't help but feel that you would be well-known if you could convert your own art and paint style into flash.
If you could create animations with your own style, you would be very famous for attention to quality.
