I saw a comment saying this by the owner of an userpage full of "thanks" messages... And unfortunately I would like that possible too (Even if it will never be). :uEdit of uses: Also being able to disable comment in the profile for the user could be useful for them when they won't log in for a long time and useful for the deviants who receives hundreds of comments per days.
C'mon, Even a polite sign saying "No thanks please" on a page is being ignored.
This is just IMPOLITE to "thanks" someone who don't wish those messages. Especially when it is Evident.
There is even an interesting article about this subject.
But there is no need to rage either if some people are blind or do it to be disrespectful...[link] I use this deviation on the top of my userpage so they don't scroll down before they saw it...

I would agree! Especially for those artists who hardly receive any comments would really like one, since there is no point in looking at your own comments section in the front age other than making them depressed.

What if we had the ability to disable comments on their profiles? would be cool but for art thefts, they can disable comments on their profile so they don't get blame comments from their profiles, lucky the people who blamed the art theft by blamming the theft with notes

Interesting idea, I have come across several profiles with owners who wish not to receive those comments, I can imagine that it would be an extremely useful feature for those who receive hundreds and hundreds of messages a day as it is without those messages added as well.

Oh that's sure. More years you are in this site more thanks you receive. For deviants who are here for over 5 years, They pass through so many thanks that their patience is gold.
But we can stay even with those pathetic comment appearing in our inboxes.
And someday we won't receive anymore of those(since surely someday we will be too busy to be often on dA to find things we like here)

On another site I go on, they recently added more options in the preference page. We can now disable messages, disable forums, disable your profile being viewed by anyone outside your friends list, disable friend requests, etc. That was a pleasant surprise, since the staff is usually really bad when it comes to adding stuff. ^^

5 years ago, when I joined to dA, it was polite to thank for everything. I still think that it is good thing to to thank for favs and watches, but I don't understand why so many people write 'thanks for llama' messages but they don't return a llama. But I understand why some people don't want any 'thanks' messages. I don't want any 'thanks for llama' messages but many people can't read my deviantID.

I don't fav or watch much, so I don't usually get these "Thanks for 'whatever'" comments on my page. However, when get favs and watches, I usually check the devs stamps and stuff to see if they don't want 'thanks' spam before commenting.
But I digress, this is a nice stamp to get the point across, and I'm gonna use it!
