I saw a comment saying this by the owner of an userpage full of "thanks" messages... And unfortunately I would like that possible too (Even if it will never be). :uEdit of uses: Also being able to disable comment in the profile for the user could be useful for them when they won't log in for a long time and useful for the deviants who receives hundreds of comments per days.
C'mon, Even a polite sign saying "No thanks please" on a page is being ignored.
This is just IMPOLITE to "thanks" someone who don't wish those messages. Especially when it is Evident.
There is even an interesting article about this subject.
But there is no need to rage either if some people are blind or do it to be disrespectful...[link] I use this deviation on the top of my userpage so they don't scroll down before they saw it...

i am slightly offened by this people thank you because thier greatfull and its rude if they dont i understand not reading the page for them not to but still thanking somone is a kind jesture

Ohmigod I get WAY too many "thanks" comments. Even when I put this [link] as my webcam and threaten to smash the next person who thanks me's head with a bat'leth, I still get them. And sometimes, they're the only comments I ever get.
