You're kinda true. Turkish is my first language but I born in Belgium so I have to speak Dutch too.
But Belgium is just like Canada, in Belgium they speak Dutch and French (and a little bit German and English).
Since I have to learn all those languages at school(exept German I'm going to learn that over a couple years). I have no choice.
But yes you're right I speak better English than Turkish D:

Although English is my 1st language, i still need to improve on a few things like the ' marks, i could get confused on where to put them. But that's also mainly because i speak the Scottish dialect in my day to day life.
I'm currently studying the German language, i used to learn French but they swapped me for no reason! x_x I was starting to get the hang of it too...
Aimer ce timbre!

I have pretty developed grammar and such for being 13, but then again, I'm in Honors and my best subject is Langauge Arts. xD
I'm planning to learn French when the oppurtunity comes (my middle school is dumb and is only offering Spanish, and I was not pleased upon hearing this. >[), then perhaps German, and THEN perhaps Russian, Japanese, Chinese, and various Middle Eastern dialects in the future. 83
I know I'd get a job in a flash if I knew Arabic, the U.S goverment would beg me to work for them. xD
ANYHOO, totally agree with this stamp.

I use proper English when I usually speak. My grammar is excellent. My French is okay, but not the best, even though I was one of the top students in the advanced class.

Actually- learning another language can help improve your first language a great deal.

It also depends on the language you're learning.

Yeah, like someone who try to learn Japanese it may took him like 15 years before mastering it.

True, true, but it also really depends on your age when you start, though. Children naturally acquire language up until age 12 or 13. If a child grows up in a multilingual household or community, he or she will acquire both languages equally. After that, the process slows down and requires help.

I guess. But it generally teaches you to look at grammar differently- and can teach the importance of using language properly.

Surement, mais aussi c'est un massacre du langage quand quelqu'un parle et utilise des mots qui n'appartient pas au langage utiliser... comme le Franglais par exemple...
