Description GYAOS SWARM

Powers and Abilities:

* Razor sharp teeth and claws.

* Physically powerful. Able to lift heavy loads while flying and fight with their forearms.

* Swift both in the air and on land. The Gyaos can run at great speeds while on all fours and are extremely adept flyers.

* Able to slowly regenerate damaged tissue over time. They can even regrow a limb.

* Capable of asexual reproduction.

* Can release clouds of yellow powder from the vents on their underbellies. They contain a dry chemical that interrupts and extinguishes fire.

* Able to channel high frequency soundwaves into a concentrated beam. A devastating weapon, they can use it to slice through flesh and bone with surgical precision.

History:

[Guardian of the Universe]

Four days later, the ramifications of Gamera’s decision hit. The Gyaos eggs, though sealed away in their cavern, had hatched. They had grown strong despite their imprisonment, feeding on the corpse of their parent and the weak of their brood. Now, using tiny holes and cave-ins that had been too small for the adult Gyaos, the swarm ascended into the vulnerable world of man.

They spread all across Japan, plaguing the JSDF and eating everything in sight. Every Gyaos started a lair of it’s own, growing larger over time and spawning more offspring. The swarm grew larger and more powerful with every week, and for the rest of The Cycle it would haunt Gamera: a grim reminder of what happens when the enemy is underestimated.

[Destroyer of Mankind]

None. With their eggs totally destroyed in the cave, the Gyaos swarm never existed...

How funny is that I was just wandering what would happen if a Gyaos swarm inhabited monster island.

He just had to stick to his morals, didn't he?

Way to break it, hero.

GOU: A harsh reminder that the reality of nature all things and the fact that not even the best intentions can cure that which is and always shall be evil.

GOM: NONE!

Just lols, I nearly bust a gut when I read this one.

Very nice, DH. They look really nice again, and it's a nice way to point out the very real differences in the timelines. One has many problems and a defender, and one only has one problem...but they're completely screwed.

...Is that a tribute to my SD Hybrid Gyaos all the way back there lol?

Anyway, this nicely establishs them in the GOU timeline without treading old material or taking away from Gamera's battle with the fully adult Gyaos.

I like, ever since they started doing CGI Gyaos I started to like her even more.
This, is now one of my favorite pictures of the swarm.

So you counted only once Gyaos in Destroyer of Mankind, and made this swarm afterwords? Confused is all.

How can you be confused? In the DOM timeline, Gamera killed off the Gyaos.

Similar to how I'm confused by your comment, lol. What exactly don't you get?

Well, I'm not sure why there is a second Gyaos profile in the your series. Does this mean there were just two events, then?

This is a file for the Gyaos Swarm. He's pointing out that there are now more Gyaos in the Guardian of the Universe timeline because Gamera didn't destroy the eggs.

In the Destroyer of Mankind timeline, there is no such problem. Just Gamera, lol.
