A/N: Thought I'd write this one for Barry because he's so innocent and naïve (maybeeee...) and cuuuuuute. He doesn't belong to me... or does he? (Huehuehuehue.) Anyway, it's a short one that just popped into my head, because he'd definitely be caught in a situation like this. Will this author's note be longer than the fic? Gah, I don't even know. ;-;

He'd just flown back from his training in the Hoenn league, and he couldn't wait to see her. All the Pokemon he'd seen and caught-- and what better way to tell her than by surprising her?

They'd talked and called numerous times, but it just wasn't the same as having her right there to talk to. He wondered what they'd do first-- she mentioned a new café in town.

Walking up to the door, he reached under one of her plants and pulled out the hidden key she'd left him a while ago. He quietly slipped in and closed the door softly behind him.

The house was cozy and familiar, filled with the smell of her. (Y/N)'s (Pokémon) bounced down the stairs, wary at first but perking up when it saw Barry's familiar face.

He grinned and waved, patting (Pokémon) and holding a finger to his lips to keep it quiet.
"I missed you too!" He whispered, "Now, show me where (Y/N) is."

It walked him over to the stairs as he made his way up and toward her room. He could hear her humming from inside, that same sweet voice that would always sing along on the radio with him.

Barry couldn't take it anymore, swinging open the door.

"SURPRISE! I'M HOM-- OH DEAR SWEET ARCEUS."

She turned around, standing in only a pair of underwear, her (H/C)-coloured hair draped down her neck, soaked from a shower.
Her innocent, curious expression instantly morphed, eyes going wide, jaw dropping, and both of her hands darting up to cover her chest.

"YOU CAN'T JUST BARGE INTO MY ROOM LIKE THAT HAVE YOU HEARD OF KNOCKING I SWEAR WHEN I GET DRESSED I WILL KILL YOU!"

A string of curse words followed shortly after as Barry groaned and stood up again.
He wiped the blood off of his nose, wondering if it came from (Y/N) slamming the door on his face or from what he'd just seen.

Slowly, a smirk appeared on his face.
Yeah, he'd definitely missed that.
