Description
The ground shook with every step taken by the horned monstrosity. Half destroyed buildings toppled and fauna howled with rage against the beast. But none were more surprised than the Four standing in the square of Atlantis. They had miraculously paused their battle when this fifth monster rises out of the blue, and judging by its appearance, it was no ally! Godzilla, Kong, Goliath, and Stygimorah all eyed the newcomer, who glared at them with such hatred never seen from a kaiju. Smoke exhaled from its maw, and a loud rumble like growl echoed across the city. Outside the walls, Jookbayu, Dimoradon, and the Scorpulus brothers tried to stand firm, but this kaiju, quite frankly, terrified them! It looked like a powerhouse that wouldn’t go down easily. Even Ares and Titanrus were unsure of this beast, but nonetheless, they had used their fear as motivation to serve under it, so at least they’d be spared from its wrath. With a deep breath, Bagan threw its head back and bellowed a loud roar, specifically for the Four in front of it!

Godzilla snarled like a wildcat, Goliath’s wings unfurled menacingly, Sygimorah crouched down dome first, and even Kong was brandishing his mace. They didn’t like the horned beast, it looked like trouble, and if it wasn’t stopped, it’d reign hell over not just Atlantis, but possibly the entire planet! It had to be stopped! Godzilla got the first move, charging towards the juggernaught. Howling, Godzilla swiped his claws against Bagan’s midsection, sparks flying off it! Bagan smirked, it barely even felt the blow. Now it was it’s turn! Baan raised an arm and socked Godzilla in the face, the impact sending Godzilla crashing to the ground! Godzilla tried to get up again, only to feel Bagan’s foot colliding with his ribs, scuttling across rubble! The King of the Monsters could only groan as Bagan’s claws gripped his beck and brought him closer to his enemy’s face. There was no emotion in Bagan’s yellow eyes, only pure malice. Bagan roared in Godzilla’s face and slammed him to the ground with a choke slam!

Kong, Goliath, and Stygimorah watched as Bagan beat the living tar out of Godzilla. Not long ago, Godzilla had been their enemy, but now, seeing him get his rear end handed to him by this abomination sickened them! It was Goliath who attacked first, flying over to Bagan, getting the horned kaiju’s attention. Bagan tossed Godzilla aside and stood its ground as Goliath delivered a drop kick! Bagan hardly moved an inch, then grinning, swiped its head, using its long horn to slice Goliath’s chest like a butter knife! Blood seeped from the wound in Goliath’s chest, who roared in agony! To add salt to the wound, Bagan reared down to swipe its tail at Goliath, sending him crashing into a building! Kong and Stygimorah both charged towards Bagan, but didn’t expect the fiend to grab hold of both of them, then lift them into the air with ease. That’s when Bagan began levitating into the air! Higher and higher Bagan went, until it paused, smacked both smaller kaiju into each other, and tossed them to the ground below, both crashing into buildings! While the Four were disposed of, Bagan landed gracefully to the ground, its attention now Dimoradon, Jookbayu, and the brothers. They took a step back, but it was no good, as Bagan concentrated hard, the massive shoulder spikes beginning to glow! That’s when from the sky, a barrage of bright blue projectiles descended onto the air, raining hellfire upon the insignificant kaiju! When the smoke cleared, all of them were on the ground, gasping for air.

Bagan growled in content, only to hear Godzilla staggering behind him, his back spikes glowing blue! Godzilla unleashed an atomic breath, only for Bagan to swing around and fire a white Plasma Beam of his own! Godzilla’s eyes widened, especially when Bagan’s ray overpowered his, burning his neck and chest, and sending him to the ground once again! Godzilla cried in pain as his scales singed unnaturally. Bagan eyes its handiwork, happy that all who tried to oppose him were defeated. Now it could accomplish its mission with little interference! Planting its feet on the ground, Bagan fired a particular powerful Plasma Beam, but it wasn’t aimed at Godzilla. No, the beam was meant for the sky! Higher and higher it went, until it pierced the earth above, creating a massive hole in the Core!

Kubo: What the raging hell!?
Xenia: That thing. I think its… trying to get to the surface!
Kubo: And it’ll finish what it started!
Xenia: The whole world is in danger now. Not just the Core, but Up Top too!

The beam ceased at last and a large hole was now in the sky above. Bagan roared, levitated its body off the ground, and flew upwards. Ares and Titanrus, who had seen everything, decided to flow their new master to aid in its quest. Ares grabbed hold of Titanrus, and straining hard, flew to the hole, ready to follow their masters orders. The last to go was a hovercraft, containing Xanatos, Seraphine, and what remained of their followers.

Steve: Okay, new plan. We gotta get to the surface and stop that thing from bringing about Armageddon!
Carl: Only one problem there, buddy. How do we get to the surface? There’s no way we’d all fit in the HEAV! Look at the damage it’s taken!
Xenia: Not to worry. I believe we have something that can get us Up Top. All of us.

She eyed Anna, who was still in shell shock haven seen her father get brutalized by Bagan, Ann was rubbing her shoulders in a vain attempt to comfort her

Jack: What exactly do you have in mind.

Xenia says nothing, only gestures the group to follow her. They do so.

Xenia: My husband and I always knew that surface travel was inevitable. So we’ve spent most of our time and the cities taxes preparing this. Behold!

She leads them to a garage under the castle and activates a crystal, illuminating the room. Ann, Jack, Carl, and Helsing gasp, the kids booed and ahed, and even Anna was surprised. There, in the garage, was a large battleship with a drill on its front hull. It looked just like…

Helsing: The Gotengo…
Kubo: Not exactly. More like an advanced version of the Gotengo. This battleship is now armed with Atlantean technology, with more efficient weaponry and durability. I believe that this is a major improvement of the one I piloted years ago.
Matt: And you plan to use this new Gotengo to fly our way Up Top?
Kubo: Yes. Our mission is simple, stop that monster, and capture Xanatos to answer for his crimes!

Anna looked towards the hole Bagan made, and clenched her fist. She didn’t like this man, Xanatos. He was the cause of all this pain and misery! He’s why Goliath is hurt! He will pay! He will pay dearly!! Linda took note of this and grimaced.

Linda: I don’t know about you guys, but I think Anna’s rearing to go.
Atreus: But what about the Four? How are they going to get Up Top?
Kubo: Don’t worry, kid. We’ve got our way, and they have theirs.

One by one, the cavalcade enter the new Gotengo, inside are a few Atlantean soldiers acting as its crew. As everyone finds places to sit, the pilot activates a few switches, and the engine roared with life!

Pilot: Gotengo! Take off!

Fire emits out of the Gotengo’s back vents, and the drilled battleship takes to the air! It burrows thought the underground facility and emerges outside the city! As it ascends higher to the hole made by Bagan, Anna looks out one of the windows to see how the Four were getting on.

Slowly, all of the kaiju were waking up, recovering ever so little from Bagan. Godzilla was the first to rise, no doubt to his healing factor. He looked up at the hole and glared! He heard the sound of wings unfurling, turned and saw Goliath with a determined expression. The dragon barely acknowledged Godzilla, he merely took into the sky and followed the Gotengo into the hole! Watching his Alpha fly, Jookbayu extended his wings and flew upwards as well, the Scorpuli following suit. Stygimorah looked at the hole as well, but was surprised to see Dimoradon eying him. Both glanced to the hole, then back at each other, grins forming on their faces. The flyer kaiju grabbed Stygimorah with its talons, and straining hard, flew towards the hole. All that was left, were Godzilla and Kong. Both alpha’s stared at each other. Godzilla didn’t like Kong, and Kong didn’t like Godzilla. But, nonetheless, both began to find tunnels in the Core to find Bagan. And they knew exactly where the monster was heading.

Xanatos: At last. My plans have been realized! Tell me, my subjects, never did you think that in your time under me, you would finally see our efforts pay off. Now the Second Coming of Bagan is here, and in time, the Surface Land will be ours once more!
Seraphine: You really think that this is the way to becoming a ruler?
Xanatos: What?
Seraphine: You heard me! All this time, I thought I was following a good cause. Taking back the throne is once thing. But this? This is genocide!
Xanatos: Watch your tongue! If you know what’s good for you…
Seraphine: This isn’t the way! I wasn’t hired to murder the innocent!
Xanatos: But you were hired to follow ORDERS!

Xanatos glares, then thrusts his staff on the ground! Within seconds, some of the men surround Seraphine and restrain her.

Xanatos: You should’ve thought of that before you turned against me! You’ve outlived your usefulness wench. And like all things that are no longer needed, you shall be disposed of.

Grunting, she forces the men back with alchemy, blinding the men with a bright light! Taking the opportunity, she runs away. Xanatos growls.

The men go after Seraphine! Escaping the Arc de Triomphe, Seraphine dashes through the ruined city, dodging rubble and jumping over sinkholes. Her cloak got caught in a jagged piece of rubble, and out of desperation, ripped it off, revealing the pale tunic she wore underneath. The alchemist ran and ran, and then, she found a sight before her that looked perfect to hide in! Seraphine dashed towards the cathedral of Notre Dame and took refuge in the church, hoping Xanatos’ men hadn’t seen her.

Her luck ran short as the ground rumbled softly. She looked up and gaped, witnessing Titanrus slowly edging towards the cathedral. The spider crustacean eyed the old building and raised a claw, aiming for the bell tower.

He never got the chance!

For in that moment, in an act of divine mercy, Titanrus felt something burn his back, then force him to the ground! He looked and found an angry Goliath staring him down. But that wasn’t all! Jookbayu and the Scorpuli surrounded Ares, preventing the griffon from wrecking his section of the city any further. Stygimorah and Dimoradon came through as well, striking battle poses as Kong crawled out of a crater just nearby. Bagan, who stood across the Eiffel Tower watched as all these kaiju emerged in the city and approached him. From the Arc de Triomphe, Xanatos couldn’t believe his eyes.

Xanatos: This.. Cannot be! The balance of power is shifting! Bagan! Use your strength to destroy these heretics! Do it! I command you!

Bagan barely moved, when the ground rumbled again, and right in front of the Tower, came forth very angry Godzilla! The King of the Monsters joined his comrades and stared hatefully at Bagan and his two slaves. It was time for Round Two!
