hehe well symbols can sometimes be associated with multiple things but yeah if you personally see the upside down cross as the st. peter sign then indeed it must be super annoying when satanists use it
I don't really know if the upside down cross is really something satanists use but I've seen it being associated with that multiple times

I totally agree! Sometimes it seems I know more about the meaning of certain symbols than my friends do! I've seen stickers on trucks that say "west county" or "moreland" choppers that have straight winged eagles holding iron crosses----(and I know by the way that eagle looks that it's obviously NAZI.....) Also.....remember back during the invasion of iraq those DUMB marines were photographed with the lightning bolt symbol of the Nazi SS and got all that flack for it? (They were told it stood for "Scout Snipers") I mean, they were marines! Their platoon leader really didn't know?
I also remember one time I saw someone wearing a shirt of a skydiving company with an outline of the infamous picture of the man falling headfirst from the world trade center tower......I was a bit shocked, but i'm willing to take that as an innocent mistake......maybe......

Actually, the origin of the inverted cross dates back around 6,000 years, to ancient Sumer, and represents the correct shape of chakra alignment in the human soul.
i.imgur.com/2nxTcyf.png
In the Catholic tradition it's known as "St. Peter's Cross", he requested to be crucified upsidedown as he felt he was unworthy to be crucified in the same manner that Jesus died. For some Catholic people, the inverted cross is a symbol of humility and unworthiness in comparison to Jesus.

1. If you don't have a religion, your an atheist, meaning you have no religion.
2. You don't celebrate Christmas. You celebrate "The Holidays".
Yes, there is a difference.

I could write a book on the history of the pentagram. Basically it has been used by almost every culture and every religion in history (Hinduism, Islam, Original Catholicism, and ancient Chinese religions, just to name a few) They all use it for something different. I cannot stress enough that the INVERTED pentagram is NOT just a satanic symbol. Yes they use it, but others do as well, and DID long before the satanists got there hands on it. So they aren't just "edgy" things that some self-proclaimed new age people think they are. Not that I have a problem with new age, some of my best friends are Wican, I just hate it when people claim to be "pagan" because they think it's cool.
KruchKlub took the words right out of my mouth in the comment below about the yinyang.
This inverted cross was first a symbol of Peter, who was crucified upsidedown because he refused to be executed in the same manner as his Lord. It has sense evolved into an anti-Christian symbol, much the same way one would display the logo of a sports team they hate upsidedown.
I forget where the peace sign originally came from but it did NOT originate from the anti-Viatnam movement. All I remember is that the Hippies stole it and used it as a symbol of peace and them proceed to justify riots with it.
The all-seeing eye is a Templar symbol, but my Masonic history is a bit rusty. I'll have to get back to you on that one.
The other symbol I have no idea.

In Chinese philosophy , the concept of yin-yang (simplified Chinese : 阴阳 ;traditional Chinese : 陰陽 ; pinyin : yīnyáng), which is often called "yin andyang",[1] [2] [3] [4] is used to describe how opposite or contrary forces areinterconnected and interdependent in the natural world; and, how they give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. Many natural dualities (such as light and dark, high and low, hot and cold, fire and water, life and death, male and female, sun and moon, and so on) are thought of as physical manifestations of the yin-yang concept. The concept lies at the origins of many branches of classical Chinese science and philosophy, as well as being a primary guideline of traditional Chinese medicine ,[5] and a central principle of different forms ofChinese martial arts and exercise, such as baguazhang , taijiquan (t'ai chi),qigong (Chi Kung), and I Ching .
Yin and yang can be thought of as complementary (instead of opposing) forces interacting to form a dynamic system in which the whole is greater than the parts. Everything has both yin and yang aspects, (for instance shadow cannot exist without light). Either of the two major aspects may manifest more strongly in a particular object, depending on the criterion of the observation.
In Taoist metaphysics, good-bad distinctions and other dichotomous moral judgments are perceptual, not real; so, yin-yang is an indivisible whole. In the ethics of Confucianism on the other hand, most notably in the philosophy ofDong Zhongshu , (c. 2nd century BC) a moral dimension is attached to the yin-yang idea.[6] (Wikia. Gotta love it.

Sense no one has bothered to comment on the nature of the upside down pentagram,
it represents demons, which aren't inherently evil but can be.
it's a cool symbol but i personally prefer it right side up.

Oh, I did forget to mention that one. An inverted pentagram has many meanings, as well, including the symbol of the Order of the Eastern Star.

People go on about how the upside down cross is Satanic but it's the sign of Saint Peter because he was crucified upside down

For what I know the upside down cross can be associated with both of these meanings.. either way, I am quite sure that people who wear this symbol don't have anything to do with either of these meanings.
In my school there are a lot of atheist girls who wear these crosses without them knowing what they stand for o.o unfortunately

Well, there's the peace sign - A symbol designed in 1958 by Gerald Holtom that uses incorporates the semaphore motions for the letters "N.D." (which in this case stands for nuclear disarmament). Then there's the Petrine Cross, a symbol representing the apostle Peter, who was crucified upside-down. After that, I see the biohazard symbol (developed by Dow Chemicals, designed with no other symbolism in mind than to be a clear warning sign, or as the designers put it, "memorable but meaningless"). After that is the Iron Cross, which was a symbol granted to the Teutonic Order by Jerusalem in the thirteenth century. Following that is the Yin and Yang, a symbol representing a primary Taoist concept that there is balance and interconnectivity in nature. Finally there is the Eye of Providence, which was heavily used by the early Christian church to represent God's vigilance over the earth.
(I just thought it would be a good idea to mention some of the meanings behind these symbols for the benefit of people viewing this. After all, it would be a real shame if people didn't have that kind of information - that could lead to them buying into all sorts of ridiculous conspiracy theories about the symbols, which would be very disappointing).
