Description
EDIT: Final prices and sizes in place, its all ready now!Say hello to my li' frend!
So here it is, the 2005 space calendar...........available in...........September?
Well yes! why? Last year, i got a lot of comments/notes saying that they needed to save up to buy it. So i decided to release it early, so that they have plenty of time to get money together and get it while it's still sensible to get a 2005 calendar! After all, not everyone gets a calendar in February or March
This calendar took me roughly a week to finish, which surprised me, since i didnt think i could put together artwork so quickly and still be very satisfied with the end result.
I am seriously considering submitting my favorite months as wallpapers and even actual prints. May, September, and November are definetely in the cool list.
I compare this calendar to last year's, and i surprise myself how much i've learned. I think that any month of this calendar is better than any month from the 2004 calendar. But that's just me
As you may have noticed, i did some recycling, meaning that i used existing artwork of mine. Why? because i thought it would be cool to have it in the calendar. Which months used recycling? February and November, most clearly (although with a few modifications)
My most favorite months? November and May
My least favorite months? April and July. Actually, July looks much better at full view. And i mean the REAL full view, not the deviantART's full view
Thank you for looking and dont forget to leae a thought or 2

Very beautiful but I think some of the starts are a bit big maybe? Meh, still a fine calender and something to aspire to.

I really like this, and it is the first thing that I have seen that I have actually thought about purchasing on DevArt so far. Very nice job...I may have to cave in and buy a print.

I'm not really in a position to critique the workmanship, so I won't (it kicks ass BTW). However, I'm just suggesting that maybe it would be a good idea to to switch October and December because then January and December would have a corresponding significance. I don't know, maybe it's just supposed to be a calendar, but I think it would be a cool idea.

It just takes a lot of practice and research, which is done by looking and analyzing pictures of real galaxies

As an adorer of space-scapes I can't help but stare in awe at this. The colors and lights from the stars and other materials are just gorgeous. I especially like the one with the Pleiades and the ringed planet(Saturn?) Right next to it.
The size of the universe is so amazing that I wonder, are there even more beautiful nebulae and star clusters out there that human eyes will never see? You bet. I wonder if life lives in any of those galaxies.
Beautiful work.

That's some very awesome work, a lot of variety too. Definately gonna have to "borrow" my friend's credit card to get a hold of this My favourites would be April and November, something about the colours and detail in them really grabs my eyes. Planning on going anwhere with them in larger versions?
