I'm personally not big on Shenko but I really like this piece.

All names ending in -enko definitely come from a Ukrainian ethnic origin in the paternal line. So, wether or not he comes from an extrasolar colony, and without regard for wether his ancestors left Earth or how long ago it was, his father's family is Ukrainian, okay? It just is. I know this kind of stuff. Its one of the things I learned in college. Not Serbian, not Russian, not Georgian, only Ukrainians have names that end in -enko. I try to tell people this because it is cool. But they will not listen to me. So, ΠΠ°ΠΈΠ΄Π°Π½ ΠΠ»Π΅Π½ΠΊΠΎ doesn't have an accent when he speaks English. So, good for him. Besides living in the Ukraine, Ukrainians are also the largest and most respected of the ethnic minorities in Russia. For reasons of business and culture, and because it was a "conquest language," it is likely that in school Alenko learned Russian as well. We know one of his cousins has an agricultural business. It is work noting that Ukraine is an agricultural country, though this proves nothing. I wish someone would draw him with his family, or in a Greek Orthodox service, or saluting the flag, or writing poetry, or reading books.

wtf? Did you accidently cut and paste this rant from a messageboard? Otherwise I'm very confused as to why you'd begin a comment with a non-sequitor, seeing as no one is making claims of heritage or nationality in any way shape or form nor does anyone here seem to care, if they do happen to have an opinion on the matter? Did you JUST come onto this page to do the online equivalent of hear yourself talk? Because I'm also confused about who this unsolicited and random "educational" blurb is devoted to.
In the case that you are up in arms about the term "shenko" it is an online colloquial practice to join parts of two names of characters that they would wish to see paired as a romantic couple. In this case Shepard and Alenko. Usually the first part of the joined word i.e. "Shenko" is taken from the person that is considered dominant in the relationship. Which would mean Shepard in this fandom. If Alenko was considered more the star of the relationship, I suppose it would be Alenkard.
Sorry for the long-winded, unsolicited and bizarre educational rant, but I'm nothing if not a recipricator.

I meant to show respect and agree that you did good art and that I thought both characters and the others as well were inspiring, and I thought you did a good job. I am very sorry to have done anything confusing, I didn't mean to give any offense. I meant to applaud you because if they were real he/they would be friend(s) and your art is good, thus he would have a home and his home would be interesting and perhaps those who had not thought about his home would believe that what I said was interesting. This is the weirdest discussion I've had in a long time. Am I offended? Confused, yes. Maybe a little alarmed, too. But not offended (yet).
This time my confusion stems from you saying that the nationality/genealogy lecture was your way of saying I did a good job? Forgive me if I failed the perception dice roll, because nowhere in your original post do you mention that, or even the picture itself. Instead there's this:
