My FemShep/Kaidan romance has been a vital part of my life for a while now, so this hits me right in the ridiculous amount of emotion I've invested in it.

personally, I'd like it to happen in a blaze of glory. But the game has to have earned it. I don't want 'splosions for 'slosions sake. And if TIM and Udina can be taken down in the blast, all the better. >

I don't think they'll put 'splosions just because. There will some cause for it. Yeah, I'm with you on TIM, but considering that Udina's right where I need him (that is, not on the council), I'm all right with him not being within the blast radius.
I need some poignancy. No explosions for me, a nice, romantic, Died In Your Arms Tonight is good. If it has to happen at all. Much like your piece.

part of me thinks its the only fitting end. I mean, how many lives does Shepard get when people die around him/her all the time? I think Bioware may also have written something like this to insure that Shepard isn't in any other games. They have said that ME3 will be the end of Shepard's story. This way they can go on to some Mass Effect multiplayer universe that they seem to be hinting at and not worry about continuity errors that a (live) Shepard will cost.
