no, llamas were free to give always. they started as April joke at 2010... the only badge for which you have to pay is "cake" badge - maybe from there comes the misunderstanding

Even more annoying when you answer their comment with things like "why don't you read?" or "is it really to overlook?"
and you'll get answers like "we just want to be thankful!" back. It's not thankful when they're ignoring everything
mostly on purpose and you're trying to explain but they're stubborn like a donkey, tell you that you're the one
with a bad attitude just because you don't like to get 10.000 thank you messages and get mad about it when
a lot of people simply can't read, so at the end of the day, you're the bad person. It's just...

That's what I did, okay I was hoping to get one back a longer time ago because I wanted to gain a Golden Llama.
