I put this together the other day for Mega Man Eternal and Mega Man Eternal II fans. It's my current wallpaper :3. I shared this on Facebook, but I thought people may want a pretty quality copy of it to use for their wallpaper if they liked it.Consider this official wallpaper for the fan game.
The individual pieces in this wallpaper were done by KarakatoDzo for official art of the game. Some modifications were made by me, but he is much to thank for what you see in this wallpaper. I encourage you to go follow his art, he's very talented.
Mega Man Eternal and Mega Man Eternal II are fan games made/being made by D.R. Page (me).
Mega Man is owned by Capcom.

I honestly don't get why I see a lot of people bashing this fan game. It was really awesome and well made if you ask me. And it had a lot of parts that made it very unique, like how the Stage Select was different from the standard 3-by-3-grid with Megaman's face in the center, but something much different, the awesome bosses like Enker, Ballade and Punk merged together, facing Bass on an elevator, or the one callbacks stage in the penultimate level! It was so freakin awesome!
I honestly don't see what people have against it. Megaman Eternal was really freakin awesome if you ask me!

I do agree completely about the bashing, as it should be obvious from its presentation and sheer amount of content that it was something I put lots of time into and is not some commercial product; it was made by one person along with lots of contributions from Mega Man fans from enemies to fan art to other things. It has fan game written all over it, but it's definitely not something I whipped together like nothing; I think some (usually very orthodox purists) project their own expectations retrospectively on it rather than seeing it as a quirky but very challenging "old-school" fan game that is trying to do a bunch of new things, while paying homage to the series. I think some lose perspective on things at times. I was trying to do a lot of new and novel ideas for their time, I think people try very hard to pigeonhole the game as something it never was. There are most certainly things that people can criticize about it, but often I find people target things that are very odd at times. MME is doing its own thing, and it should be obvious that MMEII is something that took a lot of the fair points of criticism into account about the first game so far.
I most certainly think an element of the bashing has to do with some problem they have with who they think the creator is, some have created this strange manifestation of whom they think I am (through games of "telephone"), it's truly bizarre. Usually people find it very strange, I do as well. I don't like admitting it but I've been victim to all sorts of vicious attacks on my character by the spreading of false information (both intentionally and unintentionally) online, stealing of my original assets, and all kinds of threats ranging from threats of physical harm to people inciting people to contact my workplace to try to get me fired because they don't like that I think differently than them and won't kowtow to their beliefs (because people are allowed to disagree with them, or accept being treated very poorly). I honestly wish people actually tried to do some actual research into people or actually get first-hand knowledge before accepting gossip from more fanatical elements of the fandom, I'm very happy to chat with people and usually people think I'm a very kind person if they actually try to be friendly. The saddest part is that these same people have spun the lies to make it sound like I'm the "toxic" person, when all I have been doing is defending myself. All I know is there is some serious cognitive dissonance of some kind in some very specific fringe sects of the fandom, and some are more than happy to listen to them (just because they are a very loud but vocal minority). That's easily the part that bothers me the most, when people that have no stake in this kind of stuff just blindly accept lies because it's easier to believe. When I talk to your average fan, they're happy to just see another fan project with their favourite character and lots of new or fresh takes, which I think is important. Not everybody is going to like the game, that's cool, and I'm happy they tried it. I'm looking for no pity points, but I feel that I need to be more open about this as I've kept what has been going on with me in the dark for far too long (especially because of the serious toll it took on my well-being). Some people I associate with do routinely associate with these fringe groups, and to them it is like hearing about completely different people; it does bother me at times (though I remind myself that these people don't know me), but these people do not define who I am. I'm very convinced these folks would be the kind of people that regardless of how good/bad something is, they'll still take issue with it because of some made-up person that isn't me made or was involved with it.
If it helps at all, I do receive generally positive to very positive feedback (almost 100% positive feedback on my YouTube channel for example), I find the ones that bash rarely actually come to talk to me and are fine with doing so while not informing me of their concerns. I don't get it, if somebody had serious concerns about these kinds of things, you'd think they'd come and try to talk to me about them (I'm very easy to reach via e-mail, social media, YouTube, etc etc). However, once in a blue moon, I do seem to run across somebody that has accepted the stuff above and come at me in quite a radical way I find very strange and unhinged.
I hope you're excited to see what Mega Man Eternal II is like! I don't know if you've come across my YouTube channel or are subscribed over there, but I have the game's intro up and also some boss fights. The game is very much in development still, it's slowly coming along. Lots of care goes into these things, and I wish more would check them out!
