Stunning image - the detail on this and the way you've captured the motion of the wings work exceptionally well together and the (staged?) lighting is the icing on the cake.

i know how hard it is to do a semi decent macro of a butterfly, little own a brilliant one...and id say youve nailed column b. lovely lighting here...the light makes an aura around it...really very beautiful. also, the side on approach has paid dividends on this. excellent shot, bro!

Lovely. I think that one of the compositional charms is that the butterfly anchors the image at both sides with a red slide of light, and the blade of grass anchors it to the ground and also lifts the eye upward. It's wonderful just to let your gaze move calmly around in it.
